Also what helps is that if your are doing a custom hood stripe, it won't be touching the "real" paint on the car, so it will be that much harder to tell the difference in color.
Frankly, the difference in depth, sheen, and orange peel (have to use very high quality vinyl) could be more noticeable than the color match itself given the lack of overlap.

While fake anything is usually bad....the roof would look so much better in Carbon Fiber, better matching the hood and spoiler. I would actually consider doing a carbon fiber wrap for the top, ala Gt3rs WP....

I'm going the opposite route with my WP 4RS, have the hood color match the body instead.
Preferably, I would have opt to do a WP 2RS roof + hood, but since the 4RS does not have a bubble roof, this is moot.

That's true and have seen it in person...really nice...but you want the OEM and the PPF weave to match.
At least for me If the OEM is a 2K weave (not sure on this, just and example) I wouldn't want a 4K weave on the top.

Not going to go into too much detail on the different Carbon K grades.
That being said, I do understand what you mean. PAG exposed carbon weave matches STEK PPF in "carbon".

2K carbon fiber is the rarest carbon fiber on the market. It is produced by no more than 2 carbon manufacturers in the world. The plate has perfect stiffness, low weight and great vertical compliance (comfort).
No automotive manufacturer ever advertise about their carbon K grades, because the market does not require them to go to such levels of detail.
The carbon of 2x2 vs 4x4 in layman speak is more of a visual finish vs outright stiffness, strength purposes. For example, good quality aftermarket Japanese tuners (Like ASM, J's Racing Mugen, Spoon etc.) will typically offer their hoods in 2x2 while ROW has typically chosen to go with 4x4.

Quick question! Does the side scoop behind the doors also work for air intake into the engine or are they just decorative? When I see the rendering of the engine intake it seems like all air comes from the top scoops! Thanks.

Exactly...…on the GT4 it served dual purpose, cooling and intake.
On the 4RS they are just used for cooling the engine compartment...remember it sits in the middle with very little airflow.
