I don't get the peelable paint thing. You still have a lot of areas you wont be able to paint and might as well just wrap the whole car which will be cheaper, at least in my market.
PPF now comes in colors so you also get much better protection that just vinyl.
Also, did you see all the parts they had to pull off the car to paint...to a brand new GT4RS. This car has a much higher chance of different problems just because of this.

WRT JWW, all the big-bank YT reviewers just annoy the F out of me. Not sure why I'm so petty. lol "Wow, look at how many absurdly expensive cars you can afford. Yay you." Schmee is way up that list, for me. I was a big Car Guys fan, but they kind of fall in this club, and when I commented on one of their video about the merits of EVs, they immediately went full medieval on me, like a poorly mannered 12 year old. "Read a book" was in there; ironic response, that. Done and done.
The reason you got that kind of response is because most (if not all) of the influencer on YT don't have a clue about cars. They don't know or go into the details like Chris Harris does...of course, he is an auto journalist....a world of difference between the two.
But companies fall for the social media game and even provide these guys with cars. They get the car (not sure if they actually buy them) and after the fad fades off they sell it and move to the next flavor of the month...this is not an auto enthusiast and a wasted allocation.
In Porsche's case, I wonder what percentage of Social Media heavy users that rely on these platform (the actual followers) for info are actual potential buyers. Just read some of the comments on those videos.
I know they might be plating the seeds for future buyers but come on, these guys are a joke and get invited to all the events plus jump everyone on the lists for special cars.
Not sure because I was an auto journalist/analyst for close to 10 years I get annoyed but it's a joke how people today follow others without any merit.....entertainment iOK, but a source they are not.
OK...rant mode OFF back to GT4RS.

Just couple of observations about FAL, since I took delivery of my GT4 RS, I strongly recommend it if you have a steep driveway or under ground garage, for reference I made the following measurements from the center of the front splitter to the ground;
with FAL= 180 mm at the center and 160 mm at far edges of the splitter.
No FAL= 120 mm at the center.
shipping mode 160 mm at the center.
I have also measured a GT4 which was 120 mm.

I'll give them a re-watch to see if he got some clear coat over it, but it did seem to get pretty beat up.

Is peal-able paint any different than ppf, in this regard?
#7164
I doubt it... but even if it offers slightly more protection, wouldnt it also look worse as rock chips happen? also it looks waaaay harder to remove later on. I mean, consider all the areas where the spray in the areas you dont see... I cant imagine that is easy. who knows? maybe its as expensive to remove than install
