That grey is just awful, black inserts would be an easy mod though. I've ordered mine in blue.

Less so than blue

IMO blue is so much nicer, especially when tied in with the blue stitching extended leather and race text.

Agreed, but for some colors blue is not an option.....I think the major problem are the seat centers. You can easily change those via P1 Design.
IMO the Arctic Grey stitching is very close to silver or chalk and nobody was complaining about it on the GT3/RSs...that color on stitching doesn't clash and goes with basically any color.
You can also spec black door pulls and leave the seat belts black for even less interior color while saving some $$$$$

Just saw the video...that blue is VERY dark. All the stitching will get lost with dark grey/black interior.
Why can't they offer deviated stitching like on the GT4? And not going through CXX.....Arctic Grey it is, which probably is also dark (can't trust the configurator)!

Thanks....not too dark. Since I plan on doing some P1 inserts with memory foam got to find a nice fabric for them.

Thumbs up

ExMB,

Personally from what I heard with my ears I think the GT4 sounds "Great" with it's Stock-Exhaust.

The GT4RS has a noticeable higher RPM sound at WOT (Wide-Open-Throttle).

I can live with the GT4 stock exhaust easily from all those examples.

Thanks for sharing,
Terry

These comparison videos just reinforce my opinion that the GT3 PDK upshifts sound SO much better than the GT4 RS PDK to me. I wonder if it is due to the different transmission or just how it is programmed?

sonorous,

There is Zero-Doubt that the GT3 VS the GT4RS exhaust sounds are totally different.

The GT3 to me has the Much-much better sound !!!

As previously discussed the routing and length of the exhaust being different between the cars contributes to the sound being different.

I wonder if those intake vents are insulated or double walled to avoid condensation on the vents in cold weather (like ice drifting!). The car sounds amazing inside in that video posted above.

To clarify me previous statement, I think the exhaust of both cars sounds great. What bothers me is specifically the way the RS shifts sound. I am nitpicking here but I LOVE the way a GT3 sounds in a WOT acceleration run. The shifts are abrupt and sharp, similar to what a sequential sounds like. I find the RS shifts to be soft, more in the direction of a torque converter transmission sound. It would not prevent me from owning the crap out of one but it would bother me. I wonder if it is some limitation in the transmission itself or if is just another example of Porsche tuning the shift programming to make it not quite as good as the GT3?

I believe the Porsche introduction GT4 RS video and the GP Ice Race video of the GT4 RS are providing the interior sound which is dominated by the intake rather than exhaust sound. So perhaps this is what you are noticing as a difference to the GT3 besides other factors such as exhaust length.
