Does anyone know if the Standard door sills are plastic or non-illuminated Carbon? Wondering if the Illuminated 530$ option is for the Carbon + Illumination, or just the illumination part.
The video of the car around the track shows them in Carbon but no idea about the illuminated part.

Just give me an allocation Porsche, and watch me burn gas with it 🙂

I shared in the allocation thread and confirmed by others as recently as today- Porsche is contacting 918 owners directly for the initial allocations and completely cutting out the dealers in the US. My dealer was not happy as they no longer will get the allocations they were expecting. Unless you are a VIP/918 owner in the US, you don’t have an allocation and won’t for some time.
But to clarify further . . . he also said that the allocation to a 918 owner (done by Porsche directly) would still count against the dealer's allocation.

On Planet 9 forum under a post "GT4RS Inbound" John at Fabspeed says they have an allocation and the car is to arrive in summer 2022. He said a few dealers have allocations. Fabspeed ordered thru Wilmington and did not pay over MSRP, and all the remaining Wilmington GT4RS allocations are taken.

I don't think it's an actual allocation with a configuration fixed to it.....it's probably a commitment with the dealer to get the first one.
PAG is changing how cars are allocated to dealers using a new online platform.
They can see build slots for the first 6 months but can't match a build slot with a configuration until a couple of months before production. Also, they can lose that build slot based on a number of factors.
First build slot for my dealer is May with 2 more in June....they can't see anything past June on the system.

Sound like a build request.

Anyone interested can copy the thread on Planet 9 and use it when bargaining with their dealer.

OK thanks for the education. I was expecting some correction and just wanted to state what was being reported. The important thing I wanted everyone to know is that they will likely get the first allocation and state that their deal is not over MSRP.
