My guess, is they will put in the PDK and change the ECU torque and power settings as then they wont have the torque specification restriction from the manual gearbox.
No change to the exhaust. Wing higher up. Some stickers. Add some frame like the 3RS. Some aero bits to the front guards and bonnet.
+20 HP.
Thats it.

Manthey did 7:29 in the old GT4 in 2016. Manthey forged wheels/trofeos/Manthey rear suspension mods for camber and 3way clubsport shocks.

search youtube manthey GT4.

i am surprised the new one wasn't a bit quicker? I thought the Ring was meant to be quicker due to new tarmac - so maybe there will be an even faster lap in the new one?

I hope thats not the case because that really isn't the RS formula. There are a lot differences between the 3RS and 3 e.g. spring rates, damping, helper springs, anti roll bars, track (front and rear), torque,HP, increased RAS toe, shorter gearing, carbon fibre lid and fenders, NACA ducts for increased down force, cooling and reduced drag, completely different aero (something like double the down force) and on it goes when you look at the detail the list is very long. It feels very different to the GT3. Anyhow, if Porsche are true to the RS formula the GT4 RS could be very very good.

However, they need to get more torque out of that 4L engine 420Nm is not up to snuff at least for a RS. HP ~ 440 will be fine if married to significant torque increas across the rev range. The should be able to do this e.g. the old 991.1 CS had 440Nm from the 9A1 - anything less than this would be disappointing to say the least.

Totally agree, but cant see it happening. Would be nice if they did that. I'd even sell the new 718 GT4 to upgrade, but only if its a manual. Time will tell, but we are all getting older by the day...waiting waiting waiting...

I like the McLaren too, but the Z06 is coming, and if you squint, the golf trunk won't look so bad.

All of the prognosticators have not been paying attention. Only one person on Rennlist has consistently had the answer to all things Porsche in regards to yet-to-be released vehicles. It's Chris3963. Always, every time. If he says 485hp, it's gonna be 485.

Well it would stand to reason that if they’re going to have 485 hp then the RPM limit is likely to get raised. I doubt they would go to 9000 and step on the GT3s toes, but 8500 doesn’t seem unreasonable. How they would achieve this remains to be seen. Maybe they need to go titanium rods or maybe it’s already baked into the current GT4 ones, and maybe that potential just has not been utilized yet. A couple of the well known engine builders on this site seem to get 450 to 460 hp out of a hand built 4.0 liter motor so I’m not sure where the other 25 is coming from? Don’t get me wrong, would love to see 485 hp, but it will be interesting to see how they achieve that number, if it were to become a reality.

The base Corvette C8 now has 495hp and mid engine. It wouldn't surprise me to see a 485hp on the GT4RS and a 580hp 992GT3. Only the customer benefits when the bar is raised.

I thought the rumour was that the 992 GT3 was running the same engine as the 991 speedster so c510 bhp NA engine. Is this all changing?

Everything is speculation. Remember, there is more to these cars than just hp.
