Also, you should not escrow the VAT (if you have to) until the day you pay for it, and it should be returned no later than when the car arrives in the US, although in reality it should be returned as soon as you drop the car off for shipment from the EU, or when the dealer is notified that the car has been embarked
this appears to be unique to Porsche's ED scheme, I never had to do this with BMW...

Curious where you got this date from? And was it specific to the Spyder/GT4? Only ask because I know the cut off for the 992 was earlier than the 982/718s. Heard several dates... starting November (Germany), December 4th. Not stating your info is wrong just curious.
