Just word of caution. I've canceled mine do to a possible delay of delivery 4-6 weeks. I guess PEC LA is pretty backed up on deliveries.

I did the same, they were scheduling deliveries in March over a month ago ... so who knows when they have availability now ... esp with lockdown etc

yup - they reached out to me on 12/1 to tell me that the soonest my PEC LA delivery could be scheduled was March!!!

looks like I will get my Spyder (from the dealer) within the next couple of days ... I will do the "delivery experience" at PEC LA later in the year, COVID permitting.

Please post your experiences on Friday so that I can live vicariously through you!

ENJOY!

thank you for the heads up on PEC LA!... I think I'm leaning towards having it trucked up by Reliable...they seem to know their stuff, and the cost is worth it so I don't have to think about the break-in and the possible highway chips....(paranoid, yes I know)

that *might* make the whole out of state purchase and registration a bit simpler ... or not...

Hello All,

I'm ready to get back into the Porsche Family in GT4 with PDK. I spoke with my dealer here in Houston and I would be VERY far down the list of folks. He just doesn't have any unspoken for allocations.

Cant anyone help with finding a dealer that has an allocation? Distance is not an issue.

P.S.- I have found a small number of GT4/PDK's around he country on dealers lots. Nothing quite right though!

I'm excited, I could have gotten my car by mid-Dec if I had passed on PEC LA but I saved a few bucks doing PEC LA instead of shipping it over to SoCal. After I pick it up, I'll drive it over to get clear bra put on and then break in miles so I can hit the track by the end of Jan.

Sounds like is that hard to find an allocation now?

It has been for me! I haven't started calling dealers outside of Texas but so far no one here has anything.

I had luck in LA with a 2021 Cayman GTS 4.0 just yesterday...not sure if they have GT4 allocations, but my limited experience is that the larger dealers seem to have more allocations and more flexibility...Seattle was quoting an arrival best case after summer and more likely closer to the end of the year...an LA dealer got an April build with a June delivery...(I'm still in shock)

I'm also in the market for a GT4 allocation. On the list at several dealers near me, but open to looking elsewhere
