I’ve seen folks being specific to PDK vs manual allocation. Are these allocations actually that specific or are folks just adding that? In last purchases, I was only ever away of the PTS allocation vs standard...at they doing this based on the transmission as well? I’m looking for a manual Spyder which is why I’m asking.

All GT4 and Spyder allocations can currently be ordered with the standard manual transmission or the PDK. HOWEVER, my understanding from talking to two dealers this past summer was the very first batch of 2021 GT4 and Spyder allocations to be built could ONLY be manual. This was cars that were built approximately mid September to maybe mid October 2020. So there were people that were on dealer wait lists for an allocation that wanted the 2021 PDK. And if you were on the same wait list and wanted the manual transmission, you had a chance to jump over them in line if they insisted on waiting for the 2021 PDK to begin being available. But now any allocation can be ordered PDK or manual.
usctrojangt3 Do you have the build sheet on your gentian blue GT4 PDK?
See the build below. The car will get clear bra on the front section of the car and will probably see a few track days (with no mods) before it goes up for sale in late March when the PTS car arrives. PM me if you are interested in the car.
PM me if you’re still looking. I used a broker and he found me a Spyder allocation within a couple of hours. Cost me some money but well worth it considering there are very few allocations around.
@robcorn Just a heads up that while I have received PMs from you (thanks for the referral by the way!), I am unable to send you a PM. I’m a full member and can send to others but it says that you have turned private messages off or something. I don’t want you to think I’m ignoring your messages

Hi All,
Long time Porsche lover and my very first post so hopefully I'm doing this correctly... Buying my FIRST new Porsche...the Cayman 4.0 PDK is my mid-life crisis car...question, as I'm not sure if I have a lame dealer or what the true story is, looking to you that are more in the know please: Am trying to get an allocation for a build...dealer unable to tell me or even estimate when an allocation will be available, said they get allocations by quarter and January (Q1) is still pending. I'm in Seattle...have called a few WA/OR dealers and getting same story, not sure if CA has more options? Have a $5000 deposit down for about 4 weeks now...any help/guidance appreciated! thanks!
sorry should have clarified that...ideally GTS 4.0 ...not planning on tracking so like that it's a little more street friendly....(helps to sell the wife on it) ;-)
I got my CGTS4.0 in about a week from a dealership in Houston. I would think that dealerships would know their January allocations by now if I was able to walk in before X-mas tell them I want to order a CGTS4.0 and get an allocation before New Year's.

Do you have a commission number and actual build date? Those items come with an actual allocation.
