Well the car is in its final home during the rest of the restoration. Bill is giving the car one more layer of undercoating, as all 356 owners, we hate rust. There is always overspray also during the paint process so that is also taken care of with the new layer of undercoating. Bill is in discussions with LN Engineering about the proposal for the performance upgrades. As soon as we have anything finalized I will share. Somewhere around 150HP will be the goal for the engine.

Here are the pictures with the Dynamat installed. Everyone says this is the best stuff to use. The only real downside is the weight it adds to the car, but without the bumpers and replacing seats with fiberglass, I think we are ahead to begin with.
I going without the Grille Covers over the horn openings, so I am looking for a source for the Carrera type mesh they used behind the openings. Below is a picture of what I am looking for, any help would be appreciated.

Bill ordered some of our first performance parts to for build. Got ourselves a Scat crankshaft, some Carrillo connecting rods and one of those super duper glad nuts. Vic Skirmants was very helpful in providing these parts, the quest for 150hp has begun.
Bill is going to finish running the wire harness this week, gauges and interior should also be arriving this month sometime.

I am not sure if I am suppose to get so excited about wheels with no tires and wires popping out of every hole in the car, but I cannot help myself,

Bill says the photographs are not too sexy but he wanted to put a wheel on the car just to give me a glimpse at what is to come. I emailed him back and told him I feel like a 14 year old boy seeing a naked woman for the first time , well maybe that is a stretch, but I know you other 356 nuts can appreciate my excitement, thanks for following,

Bill sent me an email, front spindle bushings have been replaced, got some stock Porsche 356 sound deadener for the trunk and engine compartment also. Bill has some extra Dynamat that he has put in the engine compartment and the stock stuff will go over the top of that. Dynamat may be a good product, but very ugly to look at, not a inch of the silver will be showing anywhere.
The heads have been sent off to be worked on, the Nickies and Cam/Lifters have been ordered also. Scat and Carrillo rods should be arriving next week with any luck. The gauges are going to be in soon also after their visit to North Hollywood Speedometer.
Thanks for following,
Shane
PS: That new photograph of that garage on the Rennlist main page can only be described as one thing "Car Heaven"
