Field of 35 Porsches, plus a display of cars from Porsche’s racing history, set for first-ever Porsches at Prescott hill climb event.

Porsche is no stranger to racing up hills. Aside from appearances at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the manufacturer has been up to the top at places like Pikes Peak (where it has its own one-make series around the Cayman GT4 Clubsport), but also Glasbach in Germany, Mont Ventoux in France, and other hills around the world.

Come June 22, Porsche can add Prescott Hill Climb in Cotswolds, England with the first-ever Porsches at Prescott event.

The Porsches at Prescott hill climb will feature a field of 35 Porsches, all vying for Porsche Club National Hillclimb Championship. Everything from classic air-cooled 911s to new 718 Caymans will fly up the hill to snag the best time at the Prescott estate.

Back at the starting line, the paddock will have a display of Porsche’s finest motorsport icons, like the 956 campaigned by legends Derek Bell and Stefan Bellof, the 1973 911 2.8 RSR once owned by world rally champion Bjorn Waldegard, and the 2009 997 RSR semi-factory works racer, which had competed five times at Le Mans and 29 times overall in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Finally, there will be a big party away from the hill climb featuring Porsches of all sorts from all seven decades of the brand, a German folk music trio, and lots of beer on tap.

Admission to Porsches at Prescott is around $13 in advance, nearly $20 at the door. Children under 14 enter for free.
