Hey Joe.
I hear ya, but I did 2:01.7 PB (.5 faster than no DSC) with DSC on Dunlops. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEGb8dudSqs
Swapped on RE71R's and could not break 2:03 for the life of me. Installed TPC rear links and front springs; 2 min dead in my very session out. Alignment was out a little which is why I credit the mods with approx 2 sec on RE71's. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bK926ce3KUA
Just my personal experience on RE71. Car much more stable, higher entry/exit speeds of turns. Very happy.

Between Dunlop, Michelin SC2's and the RE-71; which would you choose? 100% track for me - zero street driving on my GT4.

Question - do you find the RE-71 sustains grip fairly well throughout your runs? Or do they grip well and fall off quickly? I've asked a few other drivers (in other platforms) locally about the RE-71. I've heard feedback that they are great for the first 1/3rd of their session but fall off.
Just curious on your observations.
Can you update on what alignment settings you are at presently? I
Lastly - what hot temps are you shooting for?
Thanks,
Chris.

If price is no issue, Dunlops for me. RE71 are nearly as sticky and far less expensive. I also did not have any issues with consistency. PB of every seasion with RE71 was in final laps. Great tire, I won't use anything else for now.

I've found that the Re71r are the most consistent tire I've ever driven on. Some of my best laps are at the end of a session. If you read this, you'll see that I'm not the only one that has seen this:

I think the cup2 and NT01 are good for about 5 laps before they start to lose some grip. I've only run dunlops once and can't recall.
I've been hitting hot pressures of 33-34.

Running Dunlops, I found them to be more consistent than the Cup2 and for the traction to last longer through the session, but not as good as the RE71R.

Current alignment:
-3.2F, -2.7R
Zero front toe
4mm total toe in rear
9.5 degrees front caster
Sway bars set on middle front and rear
Tires looking like they might wear even finally

(In my experience, with worn cup 2s, the car felt a little lively under braking, but with new RE-71Rs, the car was quite stable on corner entry, I have 3/16s total toe in, =4.76 mm. Also, I'm on middle/middle sways, but I'm going to try middle, hard next.)

I'm at middle/middle -3.0/-2.2. Zero toe front 6mm toe in rear. Having only 4 days on the track w dunlops, front tire wear is even I do have swift springs upgrade.

After I bumped the camber up even more, the car was starting to oversteer on corner exit, so I went back to the middle settings and that appears to have solved the problem. No difference in corner entry stability or rear end stability under braking with 4mm total toe in. I would have left that alone, but my guy decided to put it at 4mm after he did the alignment and said to try it out.

I was able to get 8 days on the me20s, which is 1-2 days more than ds1.11, towards the end the bite wasn't quite as good, but still good enough and felt very similar to ds1.11 at the end, which is still good
