One more to add to Eduardo's list of cars available.
McKenna Porsche in Norwalk, California has a nicely optioned, new, Graphite Grey for $140K.
Oh, they'll forget to tell you about the $5k "anniversary premium" until they present you with the paperwork. Ask me how I know...
These guys are still living in the 70's. You've been warned.
And yes, I walked away.

Having seen and heard everything over the past couple of pages I think the US market is no different to rest of the world and used car prices are still in the vicinity of new ones.
For those anniversary lovers here is a picture of a still beautiful ultra rare Satin Black 25th anniversary model from 1989 (close enough!) one of 60 in the coupe black variety (500 total in silver/black/coupe/cab varieties, not clear if 500 in USA or the WW production). If you see one for sale - pm me as I want one.

Black Forest Tour
Did a very nice tour with friends through the Black Forest last weekend.
The mixture of different cars & colours was thrilling in the autumn sun with the 911, 964 RS & 993 RS, RS Prototype, RS Works Safari, RS M471, 997 GT3 RS and the 991-50:

Mondrian, very close indeed.
From top row (or column) of picture:
- Bright Yellow 911 Safari Replica
-GP White 911 2,7L RS exWorks Safari - Acrylic Blue Metallic 911 2,7L RS exWorks Prototype (with oil-door!) - Polo Red Targa 911 – Light Ivory 911 – Satin Black 89 25th anniversary Cab
-Ferrari yellow 964 RS – GP White 993 RS – Guards Red 993 RS – Graphite 991-50th
-GP White/green 2.7L RS M471 - Guards Red 993 Targa – Speed Yellow 993 RS - RS Green (2D8) 997 GT3 RS
-Sport Classic Grey 997 – Riviera Blue 993 RS – Sapphire blue 991 Targa
I would say the two exWorks 2,7L RS of this bunch of cars are the rarest by far.

That wasn't too bad then, surprised about the Ivory as it looks white, I didn't even have it down as light Ivory but that is a problem with photos and porsche colours, some are so close that its hard to judge - blue is my weak spot though. I did wonder about Oxford blue as it had a modern sheen to it, is acrylic blue a period correct colour?
As for numbers, I think production figures for the 997.2 GT3 RS was over 2000, for 2.7RS around 1600 and 25th anniversary 500 with only 40 in satin black cab variety. Not sure what the cull has been through the years but 25th & 2.7 RS should be pretty close to each other. I would even give the nod to the Jubilee as I certainly see less of them - the black one is actually the first cab I have seen a picture of but I have already seen a dozen 2.7RS in the flesh and that's just in 2014.
Really enjoyed that picture, it was pretty much 50 years of Porsche at its best. Thanks for posting.

I have to agree just paying attention to DuPont and Autotrader, with all miles being less than 5K everyone I have seen has been right around MSRP unless the MSRP was over $150K. But seems like everything in the US is around $140K ASKING.

"Production number 13 (9113600013) was produced in may 72, with 2.4 body (including oil flap), 2.7 motor, no ducktail but large rear fenders. According to the magazine text, production numbers 11-13 (produced in april/may 72) served as development cars, the "real" 73RS started with number 20/21. Number 1-10 served as 2.4l protoypes with 2.7l motors. Number 13 served as a testing mule in Weissach and was later bought by its own engineer, since restored in 2001. Car had special color "acrylic diamond purple-blue" and can be seen on a period 72 factory photo in front of Solitude castle, Stuttgart. (page 122 in "Gruber-Konradsheim" book). Its blue color did hold only on metal and car was later resprayed."*
So, to answer Mondrian's question, that 'acrylic blue' was not a normally available color for regular customers in MY1972. Think of it as PTS and the factory prerogative. But it looks damn good!
The only quibble I have with Mondrian & CBJ list is on the color of the 911 right behind the '72 RS prototype, which both of you described as 'Polo Red'. Indeed 'Polo' was a factory color but earlier than this period Porsche, which looks to me like a MY1973 Targa with its S front air dam & black trim. The standard red color offered by the factory from 1970 to 1973 was 'Bahia Red'. So it would have been tagged #1310 on this Targa, with color code 022. The last year for 'Polo Red' was 1969. I myself owned a 'Polo Red' MY1968 912 Targa back in 1973! Later, in 1977, I bought a 1970 911T in 'Bahia Red'. So I have lived with both colors close & personal...and they are 'different'.

Gents: You guys rock! I think that 'acrylic blue' 911 is #13 of the factory RS prototypes:
