This is what I did ALL day. Stripped and cleaned. It will get painted, but it's a shame to cover this up, looks very cool partly polished.

The tool kit should be pretty intuitive. Each tool fits in it's own spot.

But, just in case, here you go:

And Jerry Feather makes a replacement spare tire cover that is supposed to be pretty nice ("Supposed to" because I've heard good things but never saw one personally)

Starting on a WP/TB job. Shouldn't have reused a rebuilt WP when I rebuilt the engine last year!!!! Sounded like a good idea at the time.

Drove it!!

Took it to go see a movie. Got the lumps outta the tires and now the rusty disks are shiny and clean but my wheels are a slight tinge of orange. Time to clean it again.

Yea that's disappointing. I don't have anything like that. I assume mine is not factory.

Just drove it 500+miles today, through heavy rain combined with heavy fog in the bay area down to Southern California where it was nice and dry All with worn out rear tires.

I started this at 2 am and ended it at 9:30. There were cops everywhere today so I couldn't cut down on time and now it looks like I went off roading and did an aerodynamics study from the streaks of dirt all over the car from the wet roads.

Cleaned the OP bolts and the holes in the block. Amazing how much work can be done without moving forward

Friday night I installed the Borla exhaust and new plugs. With all kinds of issues.
Saturday went for a good hour drive.
Sunday chased passenger window issue. Fuse looks fine and switch looks newer. Found other blown fuses though.

Had fun though.

Finally got rid of the black "mini bumpers" on the front, replacing them with the clear inserts. Now the car is clear on all corners except the tail lights.

Today I finally cut the air pump belt. The annual service notes from the PO's mechanic mentioned that the pump was making noise, but they never did anything about it. When the belt was off and the pulley was spun by hand, you'd think what was left of the bearing was just sand.

Put the cart before the horse, though, and did all this before getting the 21" belt for the fan only. But its in the low 30s around Chicago, so I wasn't too worried about taking my first ride in the car, ever, without the grinding pump noise. It was sooooo nice. Can't wait to finally get the new motor mounts in one of these days. I think this car might be smooth, yet.
