Default NorCal Pizza Run 2006

OK folks,

It's that time of year again. I was able to get in touch with Danno, it seems he's busy and won't be making this run this year, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun!

I've posted this thread as a poll for where to eat. The last two runs have had Straw Hat Pizza & Half Moon Bay brewing company as destinations -- I've added Round Table Pizza to the poll. Hopefully the 9:00 start time works for folks from out of town. Please try to be ready with a full load of fuel at 9:00.

WHAT: It's another post-Thanksgiving NorCal Pizza Run !!!
WHEN: 9:00 AM, Sat. 25-Nov.
WHERE: Union-76 gas-station on the corner of Big Basin Way, Saratoga, Saratoga-LosGatos, and Saratoga-Sunnyvale
WHO: anyone and everyone, p-car or not!
ROUTE: North to Half Moon Bay

Here are some of the threads from previous years:
2004 Interest Check 1
2004 Interest Check 2
2004 Discussion on grub (we'll vote Saturday)
2004 Post-meet pics & discussion
My pic page from the 2004 event
2005 Main thread
2005 928 Forum thread
2005 924/931/944/951/968 Thread
My pic page from the 2005 event

All in favor, say aye!

This is not a race, it's a nice drive with good company. I've attached the map that was used in the dim past, though we took 84 rather than Tunitas Creek in 2004 & 2005. Unless I(or someone else) has a chance to pre-run Tunitas Creek to check for hazards, maybe we should just do 84 again, since Danno has cleared away all the rocks!

Also, since I am the defacto organizer this time around, I'm going to risk being a bit of a dick, and anyone running bald tires will be asked to go home, especially if it's looking like a wet day. Of course I can't enforce that -- free roads, free country -- but it will make me feel better having tried.

Hmmmm. I'll go this year as long as I don't crash again.

I'm in pending weather.

I switched shifts with someone else at work, so I'm coming. Don't really care where we stop for pizza as I work at a pizza place, so I'll just follow.

Do you mean to tell me that we missed out on either free or extremely-reduced-priced pizza on both the skaggs run and the last sierra run?

no, you dont mean to tell me that.

because that would make me angry.

I'll be in town for thanksgiving, but I'm leaving the 968 here in socal. I can either bring my mom's hideous 944 or ride with someone else (Chris?). I voted for straw hat, only because I've never been there before. I love round table though, it's like the best chain pizza ever.

No, didn't miss out on food.
1. the owner is a real douche and doesn't let us get stuff for free, only $5 employee discount on large/xlarge pizzas (and only pizzas, nothing else sold there), which are already really expensive
2. it would have been really cold by the time i got there because its not a chain and I had an hour drive to both events

I'll check with work to see if I can make it. I don't have a preferance on where, just as long as the pizza is delicious

I've been reprieved When Karen heard that we would miss a run because of company she set up an active day in Sacto for them and we are back in! I married a good one for sure. I will hold Dave personally responsible for rocks and oilslicks though. I'm all for a non-pizza lunch but then again I didn't eat at the brewery or go last year. So what is the count up to? Thanks for setting up another one Dave. Do I need to X-post this to the West Region also?

I just got blind-sided.

I told erika, and she was none too happy, then, like a dumbass, i said "ok, if you go with me, we can go shopping in SF"

i forgot it's the weekend after thanksgiving.

oh well, anything in the name of a good run with good people!

i voted for Round Table, but i'm up for a brewery as long as they have good food that i can eat instead of drinking.
