My vehicle has been at Emden for 30 days now, and my TYD still says the next step (leaving German port) is happening on 5/8 (i.e., over two weeks ago)... is this normal or should it have updated on the app/website?
@Marin Vizsla has your answer here. The next ship to leave Emden is the Crystal Ray (FWIW, now showing a 5/30 arrival). If you don't see an e-mail about reaching milestone 8 (your vehicle has left the German port) by 6/1, my guess is your car is still in Emden

While I certainly hope Courage comes in sooner rather than later, just a cautionary note: sometimes these ships just mysteriously stop mid-route. Jiuyang stopped twice for a couple of hours between San Diego and Benicia: once off Ventura and another time off Monterey. Whale watching? Fishing off the side of the ship? Taking pictures of the California coast? Or, most likely, the port told them to slow down as part of traffic control. The good news is that Benicia doesn't appear to have many ships already docked and there are two other RoRo's coming in after Courage so it's in Benicia's best interest to get it in quickly.
Here's wishing you'll see Courage pass under the Golden Gate Bridge tomorrow. Good luck and hope your cars make it through customs and port inspection quickly!
Thank you Marin Vizsla for your support and insights along the way with the shipping and delivery experience.
Just like Jiuyang, Glovis Courage must be doing some whale watching as well. It’s parked off Monterey this morning. Thankfully, it’s not far from SF // Benicia at this point. If it does come in during the day time, you should see it on the different cameras. Almost there!

Some had been there for three months(like mine). I know they are trying to clear the backlog of "chip affected" cars that had been at Emden for months. Last I heard it was 500+ cars. Hopefully they clear soon and you will be on the next ship!
Thanks Morgul, and I'd also like to thank Marin Vizsla for posting those shipping schedules and links! Oddly enough, I just got the email/app notification that my vehicle has left the German port about an hour ago! However, when I look at the location on TYD, its already past London! Anyone else on a similar trajectory and happen to know what SD-bound ship this might be?
Also received notice that my car has left Emden a few hours ago! Woohoo!! Car had been in Emden for just shy of 1 month. I can't find a schedule for whichever ship it's on and was not able to find the ship id using Chrome or Safari.
Two vehicle carriers have left port on the 24'th, the Glovis Superior and the Freesia Leader. The TYD expected arrival date in San Diego (6/6) has not changed from the original, so either this is either a really late notice for the RCC Compass, which I doubt or it's most likely on one of the two carriers above.
Glovis Week 21 west coast schedule was published yesterday - no major changes. I don’t want to jinx the west coast but it seems Glovis seems to have settled on a monthly schedule finally. NYK added a new ship Daedalus Leader ( cool name, BTW ) to its San Diego bound schedule.

Thanks for this info, Marin Vizsla. Just got the milestone notification that my car just left Emden, one week ahead of schedule (arrived on 5/14 and was schedule to depart on 5/29). Looks like I'm on the Freesia Leader arriving at Benicia on 6/26!

Try the TYD hack (copied from Marin Vizsla/another thread):
- Go to the TYD website.
- Right click and select Inspect
- Click on the Network tab
- In the box to filter the requests type "api.porsche" (with no quotes)
- Refresh the page
- You should see a number of requests in the list but you want the one that has the name "USMHXXXXX" where XXXXX is your commission number. Select that one.
- After selecting that one, click on the Response tab. You will see a whole bunch of coding details about your car.
- Near the top, you will see something like this:” ident":"| IMO_9283875"
- In a new browser tab, go to Marine Traffic or Vessel Finder and search on the IMO number (using above example, 9283875) to find the ship name

Try the TYD hack on Firefox - it worked for me just now. Not sure about Chrome or Safari as I didn't try the hack on those browsers.
This is the procedure I used to find the ship ID in Chrome on Mac OS X.
It's slightly different than what was posted previously
On the TYD page : right click , from the pull down menu select "Inspect"
Select the "Network" tab
In the filter box enter "api" w/o the quotes. "api_porsche" *did not work* for me
click the "Fetch/XHR" button to the right of the filter box
hit "CMD R" to refresh the page
You should see under the "Name" pane a line with "USMxxxxxx" where xxxxx is your commision number
Click on "USMxxxxx"
At the top of the right pane clck "Response"
scroll to the top in the right pane and you'll see all the info others described previous
Big thanks to @evosaurusx and @roninshiba for the helpful “hack” instructions. While I was thrilled to learn my 911 had left Emden today, tracking the NYK “Freesia Leader” has led me to discover that it’s actually heading the wrong way (eastbound to Bremerhaven)! As of now, I have been unable to figure out when this vessel might actually start heading toward the US. My SA had no updates as of eod Friday 5/24.

Here is the schedule for Freesia Leader. San Diego 6/22, Benicia 6/26.
Courage moored at Benicia early this morning. After spending 3 months in Emden it's great to see this day come. Best of luck to everyone on the Courage.
