Haha! Great post.
My advice to new enclosed trailer owners:
1) Buy a big one. 24' minimum. 26'-28' is even better if you have a rig to pull it. You can never have too much room.
2) Actually use the trailer at least once before buying a bunch of expensive accessories. After using it, you can determine exactly what you "need," and just as importantly, where you need it.
3) Unless it's raining or I'm changing into or out of my suit, I really don't spend much time inside my trailer. It's anti-social to hole up in the trailer all weekend. So buy a nice pop-up tent rather than a home theater system with surround sound.

From going to the track for many years I have figured out what I need - it will just be more convenient. Over the years I have amassed a few large plastic "bins" that I keep loaded with my track stuff. When it is time to go to the track I would load them into my SUV. Now all this good stuff can remain in the trailer. Between my new shed and trailer I might actually be able to put a few vehicles in my garage this winter!
Anti-social in my trailer? When I look at the pedometer in my cell phone at the end of the track day I am amazed that I normally walk several miles in the paddock. I spend all my time either driving or talking with people. That being said, there are times when I like to take a quick nap. Normally I take one of the moving pads I keep with my stuff and stretch out on the back of my open trailer. Now I will have a luxury room!
In truth, outfitting a trailer as a rolling man cave is fun. My thoughts go both to what I need and what I want. You can't take it with you!
At the track I usually ping pong around the paddock and sit with many people and their trailers. A nice awning and some folding chairs are a welcome site. I'm already looking forward to this spring with the new (to me) trailer. I just need to get some umbrella girls and I will be all set!

One of my favorite threads. I bought so much stuff over the winter to install in my trailer but it has been too damn cold to work in it. Bad ideas come from this thread!

Great thread 24Chromium, thank you. I looked at it repeatedly before buying my used TPD 24'.
Do you happen to know exactly how they mounted your cabinet to the side door? I have been told some have to be anchored into the frame of the door if it is hollow.
Thanks,
Jason

My door cabinet is mounted via 3M double sided tape and sheet metal screws. The door is a foam composite (plastic skin sandwiching foam core).
I really wanted the wider door and wider door cabinet. TPD talked me out of it. They were concerned that the cabinet would be too heavy for the door, plus they said that the wider doors tend to sag on the hinges. In two years of ownership, I have yet to regret my choice.

Thanks, that's what I needed to know. I will go with the support braces and screw them to the door frame. My cabinet is 25" wide and is 22 lbs by itself.
