Finally took delivery today of my Taycan CT, 13 months after my original order, one unexpected “incident” on transatlantic crossing, months sitting in port waiting for parts and transportation, and totally worth it. A blast to drive, handles like it’s on a rail, a little complicated on the tech. Be patient; your moment will come. Good luck to all of you waiting.

Looks good with those wheels. What was the incident?

My first Taycan CT was destroyed on the SFL Composer in March. The ship (which left right after Felicity Ace) encountered heavy seas, and a structural failure resulted in several cars being damaged. Mine was totaled.

Since you are in the US, you should have access to them in your https://my.porsche.com/ account.
  • Click on "Discover current phase"
  • You will see at least 3 pictures of your actual car under "3. Your vehicle has been produced"

When was the production complete date? It typically takes a week or two before the images showed up.

Then I have no idea... Mine started production on July 2 and the images showed up on July 8 when production was completed.

Two of five pictures appeared about a week after production, in a thread on taycanforum.com I read that sometimes it took months to get them all.

Man that sucks. My Taycan should be getting offloaded at the Houston port from San Martin. I'm waiting for my TYD to update....

Mine is finally on its way on Sushine Ace (North Atlantic now). :-P
ETA Dec 22nd in Halifax, Canada
Hopefully at dealer the following week or so

Was ordered back in Nov 2021 and the built was completed in July.
12V battery and unfavorable exchange rate (CAD) created the delay??
I'll never know I guess

My Taycan make it to the Houston port and my TYD shows that it's at Port Processing status but the weird thing is that it has an "estimated date" of 12/16 instead of an "actual" date.
