My dealer has not received their demonstrator Taycan yet. It was supposed to arrive last month, but didn't. AFAIK, CARB-state dealers get 2 demonstrators while non-CARB locations get one. Naturally, dealers really need only one demo vehicle since Taycan is pretty much sold out some months in advance of any deliveries. Naturally, CARB-state dealers that received 2 cars are in a no-lose situation if they sell one of them to a customer.

Still waiting to see a demo car in the flesh in non-CARB Ohio.

Does that mean that those are the production timelines (e.g. built in April) or is that when they are expected at the dealer (after begin built and all the transport time)/

Thanks

Cool.
Looks like we are both getting ours in April...although I am hopeful it is earlier since my is supposed to be out of production in Feb 14, so end of April seems like a lot of travel time.

Awesome, I think this is the first 4s production batch, so should be low numbered cars, can't wait and I think you are right, I got the early April vibe, but no guarantees. Just can't wait, did you see the European 4s range estimator, got it to 299 miles range,

Is that range estimator on the UK site? I saw that, thanks.
The range doesn't matter to me since I live in Califiornia and I may make a 350 mile trip once or twice a year and those routes already have plenty of chargers. Otherwise, I may do 150 miles round trip in any weekend.

I can't wait, and hope for something earlier than end of April.

I am scheduled to be at v250 this friday and start of production 2 weeks after, so I guess by Friday I will know if they met the first milestone (but seriously guys, can't you just go into production on the 11th then?)

Good luck on your delivery!

DId you get the detailed schedule from your dealer?

I got:

1/10 - Vehicle fixed
1/24 - Start production
2/24 - Vehicle complete
2/21 - Entry port Emden
3/13 - Exit port Emden
4/10 - Entry port Benecia (California)
4/24 - Dealer inventory

Sitting in Emden for 3 week seems like a bit much, but I guess they are waiting to have enough to ship and have to meet the schedule of the boats too. But on the other hand, they will have a lot more than just taycans on the boat.

Benecia can take weeks to release the vehicles Audi use that port also. I’m V200 April/May delivery.

Sfsoundguy - congrats, not sure how big this first batch is, but I am glad to be in it and 2020 is looking better all the time!

I’ve been told late May delivery for my 4S here in Boston. My config lock is 1/29 with production two weeks later and a 5/22 delivery date. Hoping that stays true!

Cluster_fsck congrats, looks like you are in the first batch too. Awesome, I have been on the list forever, just kept going up the list when people cancelled their deposit. 4S all the way, perfection.

We should be getting 2 or 3 available Taycan's this month. I think 1 Turbo S and 2 Turbo's. PM me if interested!

So do BEVs not need EPA and CARB approval?
