Congrats and good luck!
DId they give you a print out of the schedule? It would be great if it does show up in May since some people who have put down deposits much earlier are expecting a June or July delivery - so hopefully the schedules have moved up a lot. Hopeful since the 4S is now being delivered in Europe, so if there was a delay, seems that it may be lifted. Good luck to everyone!

Thumbs up

Nice!

I'm being told my lock date is 26 March with a June 17 Delivery.

My dealer told me they had to swap with another dealer in order to get a TurboS allocation (November). I expect that's why I'm a bit further down the "food chain". Anyway, I'm OK with that - maybe there will be some additions to the option list (HUD? Colors?) before my lock date...

What does "Available" mean? Is this a customer allocation or a pre-configured dealer vehicle?

Pre-configuration. En-route.

10-4. However, "Pre-Configured" is like buying a (very expensive) suit "off the rack"...

Bob,
I went to a couple of dealers and both stated it was easier getting an allocation for the 4S instead of Turbo or Turbo S. The primary dealer I went to which I normally deal with for all my P-cars, they were awarded 3 new 4S allocations for delivery in May. They had to confirm first if they would be available for modifications, or if those allocations were pre-configured at factory. We got confirmation that it could be modified and I sent in my build sheet, and they accepted it. It is quite possible that my delivery could be delayed. I've been waiting for the release of my Cayenne Coupe since November. It is stuck at port right now.

I had a Tesla Model S for 3+ years and starting to miss an EV, but I can wait. If it is released on the date they stated I am going to be happy about it. If it gets delayed it is out of my control.
Hope all remain on schedule for all members waiting to get their hands on this vehicle.

.
Thanks. Here in Silicon Valley, 2 dealers told me the wait is a year for a 4S. Fortunately, I have an order elsewhere with an expected May delivery.

What is the delay on the Cayenne Coupe?

I haven't heard from anyone in the US that they have actually ordered a Turbo S and have a production code. Really wondering when the first true 'allocation', (or call it 'bespoke') will be available...

I've got a Turbo S Allocation (with Commission number) as well as a coded timeline and delivery scheduled (July 17). I'm guessing I won't get a "Production Code" until it actually enters production (V260 on May 1)? (Order will be fixed (V250) on April 10 although dealer tells me March 26 is our deadline for changes).

OK then, you're the first I've heard of to actually have a 'committed' date. Although, it's not really a commitment - more like their best guess as to the schedule. Based on their history of delays, it will be interesting to see if it actually enters production on May 1. If you're one of the first US people to have their order fulfilled, and they won't even be starting production for over two months, something is not right with their line.

Its a firm commission (DXXXXX) and it is a bit far off, but I'm happy to have my order locked down in any case. We got the allocation and assigned the order back in November so the clock has been ticking for several months now. Although I certainly wish the delivery could be sooner, I have no reason to believe there is any misinformation associated with the data. I checked with my sales guy yesterday and he says none of the dates have moved since November. However, He does speculate the dates might move a bit closer as we get nearer to the production date.

When paying over $200K+ for a car, its worth the wait to get it equipped EXACTLY the way you want!

I also waited almost a year for my Model X, and about a year and a half for my i8, and I expect once I take delivery on the Taycan I'll already be working on the next "long range" delivery... ;-)

I had my firm commission back in November. The original "lock" date for the build was supposed to be late November (see post #173 in this thread) with Entry to Body Shop in late January. Those dates have no changed. My configuration "lock" date was pushed to last Friday the 14th (confirmed last Saturday at the dealership), with a targeted Entry to Body Shop second week of March. Original delivery was targeted at mid-April, but has moved out to early May now. Really anxious to get the car.

Bottom line is that nobody has ordered a Turbo S and has confirmation that it is in production.
