Had mine out in the UK on a damp misty day in Newcastle. Highlight was my first power slide in the Spyder while pulling away from a golf CS !
A rare occasion these days to be tempted into street racing , but i knew that road was pretty safe .. and not long till salty roads end the season.
sj, massive thank you for the pics, i'm one month in to my 987.2 spyder and I can't get enough, I live out East and already have 5" of snow, I look forward to a break in the weather and a chance to post some great pics, here is an old one
My new-to-me Aqua Blue Metallic 2012 Spyder showed up yesterday. My search introduced me to a few of extremely nice gentlemen that shared their experiences with their own Spyders (Amar, Hiro, and Nathan) and while I would have loved to have Amar's or Hiro's cars, I'm so excited that Nathan's worked out. He was wonderful to work with over the phone, and being some 3000mi away was more than accommodating getting through the transaction and getting the car shipped.
Fortunately for me the shipper got the car here 3 days early so I was able to get out over the weekend with a friend and fellow enthusiast. He rarely praises anything as much as his 2005 NSX which he has wanted for the entirety of his adult life, but he was all grins in the Spyder. The throttle response, the steering feedback, the way it rotates, and of course the sounds are just euphoric.
Here's to a lot of miles in this beauty and thank you to Amar, Hiro, and Nathan for all the time spent talking about these cars.
Beautiful morning in the desert for a ride with a group of friends in an eclectic grouping of vehicles. Porsches well represented, along with a nice Ford GT, various Ferraris and a beautiful '67 427 'vette... And, yes that is a REAL Carrera RS, NOT a clone!!
Weather looking good for near future... some great roads near north Scottsdale. The road to Bartlett Lake (this ride) is just a few miles north of our place.
The beast just arrived and unfortunately I had to sell the Spyder due to no more garage space, and the arrival of the RS helped with the Spyder loss. If you never have to sell your Spyder and have room keep it. I had to choose between two topless cars hard choice.
