Default Spyder and Targa

It would be nice if there was a targa bar available for the Spyder. I would imagine the bar would look similar to the new targa bar. The anchors are there, next to the door and on top of the rollbar to anchor a targa-like bar using the same cable mechanism that locks the current soft top in place.
Once a targa bar is in place, it might not be hard to build a fiberglass/cf removable top either.

Or you can avoid all of that hard work and just get one of these....

Not the best looking design, however.

Not looking for a complete top, especially something that looks like that. For that looks, they expect me to pay money to get one...there is no way
I like to look of the targa bar and I can see that as a permanent fixture on the spyder and will still look great.

Take a look at TC kline's boxster spyder. The roll cage gives you the silhouette of what a targa hoop would look like. Not very good, IMO.

Anyone ever check to see how much it would be to replace a Spyder top?

I was planning on taking it to a boat canvass shop the day it needs it, they are fantastic at making special tops and I'd be willing to bet half of what a factory replacement would be.

I can't see myself using anything like this. Is the intention different functionality, or just appearance? I have found the function of the stock top fine for what it is, not to mention to coolness of the carbon mounting piece!

Dont care for full hardtop functionality, especially on the Spyder. Just prefer the traga look of the 918 Spyder, Carerra GT and the likes.
