PTS Spyder for sale

Yes, this is the MY2011 car that was built for the Detroit Auto Show in January 2011 and has been in the fleet of PCNA until now. So it's a late 2010 actual production car. This is the only MY2011 PTS in the US. It is also the only US spec'ced PTS (total of 4 -this MY'11 and 3 in MY'12) that is a PDK. The color is attractive - Meteor Grey - although not particularly rare in recent Porsche color offerings since the latter is quite common. The interior is Carrera Red. It has bucket seats but not with charcoal alcantara inserts - it has the optional leather inserts. You can find more photos at Donavan's site: http://www.dspyda.com/dspyda/Spyder_..._Grey_PTS.html The car was recently sold by PCNA to this dealer, perhaps via a bidding among interested US dealers.
That is the good news. Here is the rest of the story. The car was HEAVILY used by PCNA in numerous Porsche World Roadshows and other venues as a 'test car'. I drove this particular car at the May 2011 Roadshow in Candlestick Park, South San Francisco. It was probably in many others such roadshows. It was at the gt2 RS deliveries in West Palm Beach (FL) and El Toro (CA), the Parade in Georgia (where Steve noticed the 'wear & tear' & mentioned it on this forum at the time). The actual miles on the car is close to 3000! None were pampered miles...if you know what I mean!
To make it more attractive for resale, the Spyder has received from PCNA a new steering wheel, a new cloth top, some new leather parts for the driver's bucket and new tires. The clear bra was removed but some stone chips are still present on the exterior paint. It is absolutely vital that anyone interested in this vehicle personally inspect this Spyder. Caveat Emptor! If you compare this car to other used MY2011 Spyders for sale, it is not a particular good deal at anywhere near the $80K asking price. I think its value is closer to the low $60's - all things considered. In my opinion, the PTS to buy was Donavan's Riviera Blue PTS MY2012 which he sold last month. His was truly a rare color, a more desirable MY2012 model and had less than 1000 carefully driven miles! It was also a lot less ($75K) than the asking price this dealer is asking for this well-used MY2011 Meteor Grey. Saludos, Eduardo

Yes...and it's too bad. I hope he continues his interest in Spyders and keeps his excellent Spyda website current (http://www.dspyda.com/dspyda/Home/Home.html). Hopefully, he will also comment in our forum about why he decided to sell his rare & unique PTS Spyder. But that is up to him and I respect whatever decision he makes about that. That is why none of the folks that knew about his ad (which was public knowledge) posted about it on this forum, although it was talked about in Teamspeed (http://www.teamspeed.com/forums/boxs...arrived-6.html).

Wow, lets see some pictures! Make sure they're good ones, I haven't seen any decent pictures of cream white.

Donavan's Riviera Blue Spyder
Not to hijack this thread, but I bought Donavan's Spyder. I'm thoroughly impressed with both the aesthetics and driving feel--this may be the best car I've ever owned. I will eventually start a new thread with better pics, but for now here is a low quality iPhone pic of the car sitting at it's new home. I've had the car for over a week and still haven't had the chance to take the top off yet! Looking forward to learning much more about these cars from you guys!
