I certainly hope that is what it means. It will not be the same having the webmaster of Spyda - http://www.dspyda.com/dspyda/Home/Home.html - not owning a Spyder himself!
By the way, I have been told by JSF101 that there might be as few as four PTS MY2012 Spyders built for US customers. His Speed Yellow, a Meteor Gray, an Azure Blue and a Riviera Blue. There is the additional Meteor Gray Spyder Detroit Show car which was used also by PCNA for autocross duty at many Porsche World 'driving experiences' last Spring across the US. This car is going to be auctioned off to P dealers soon - probably the most 'well used' Spyder in the US...other than Savyboy's, of course!
The PTS Riviera Spyder is apparently available at Walter's in Riverside. No posted pricing so what the market will bear!
http://walters.porschedealer.com/new...22242/info.php
I am not crazy about the interior options (e.g. sport leather seats, PCM with Nav and sans full leather interior). But it will be a sweet car with that blue color!
In any case Cayman, if you got a new MY2012 Spyder I offer you my congratulations!

Damn... You guys are good!
I'm in the middle of selling my Spyder as we speak. Someone
in Southern California is flying up this Friday. We have been
working out the details of the sale now for a couple weeks now.
Through the process I started having second thoughts about not
having a Spyder. So I decided to comb the entire dealer inventory
via the Porsche dealer website.
It's pretty grim out there for what is available (Unless you like PDK
and Sport Seats). There was a nice Platinum Silver Spyder in
Florida, but no Xenons. Another nice Black Spyder in Hawaii. That
PTS Azure Blue caught my attention, but the red interior killed it for
me. Then I found that Riviera Blue Spyder at Walter's... At first I
was bummed about the lack of Sport Buckets and no Full Leather...
but after doing some research I decided to jump on it! So yes, I
found a PTS Spyder!
Here is how it's optioned:
Boxster Spyder $61,800
Riviera Blue Paint to Sample $5,000
Wheels Painted Black $1,815
Bi-Xenon w/ Dynamic Cornering $1,560
Sport Chrono Package Plus $960
Auto Climate Control $1,760
Self-Dim Mirrors & Rain Sensor $690
PCM with Navigation $3,110
Sound Package Plus $700
Heated Front Seats $525
Destination $950
Total = $79,390
Not sure why they didn't order Bluetooth or the Universal Audio
Interface... They are both free. I'm hoping (but I know reality)
that it's going to be there anyways.
It's due into Port August 16th... I should have it about a week
after!
I'm told that it is the only Riviera Blue Spyder in existence!
Here's a GT2 RS in Riviera for color reference:

My salesperson was John Beech. I even had a trade in and everything was negotiated by email and phone. Finished our negotiations by early evening started my drive at 2:00 a.m. and finished the trade in and purchase transaction in the morning. There were no last minute shenanigans and they were true to their word. I could imagine an unscrupulous dealership changing the deal since I would be at a disadvantage after driving all that way. Played a round of golf while they installed the clear bra. All in all, a great experience.

Cayman when you posted your car for sale my first thought was "he's going to regret the decision". Obviously the same thought must have been going through your head.
The Riviera Blue Spyder will be absolutely awesome and you will have one of only a handful PTS Spyders in this country.
I already see an $8000 mod in your future but other than that the car is specced very nicely!
Wow, can't wait to see the pictures and welcome back into the fold.
