Most tracks do not have surface plate mounted scales and there will always be variances, that's why they open the scales on practice day so you can figure out where you are. I don't believe any scale variance is needed, underweight in SPBOX is 2649.99 and under.

Another Spec Boxster sorta-newbie here. I've been racing mine but not in "spec" form. With the car reaching old age now, I don't feel bad about doing the spec conversion. It's nearly complete and I plan to be fairly active with PRC in Norcal for 2012.

I sure hope so! A dedicated RL SpecBoxster/996 forum would be great. Being a new SpecBoxster owner myself, it would be great to have a place to post questions and have discussions about all things Spec...

longhorn911, good to have a yellow car in the TX posse and keep the bag of skittles look going. The Patron stripes look cool!

Well a dedicated forum is in a wait and see mode, if this sticky gets the traffic we can justify it...

I'm just about to do the graphics on the car, which begs the next question, numbers! I'm planning on doing crossovers with NASA, poc, and pca, anyone know of an overall number registry? Or at least by group/region? Nice to be able to show up at an away event and not have to fudge the numbers...

^ i dont know how other PCA region does with numbers. but GGR car numbers goes with driver. AX and racing have separate numbers. for ex: my AX can be 55 and my racing number can be 92. though most ppl pick the same. but if person A only does AX, he can be 55 while another person who only races can also be 55?!

all my cars carry the same number, but in difference classes.

not sure how POC works, but they allowed me to use my PCA GGR number.

Yes, it's growing on me. I wasn't sure about the color scheme when i bought the car, but I like it now and get a lot of positive comments at the track. Who knew that M&Ms and Skittles were such great racing role models!

Ok - here is a question for the Spec Boxster crowd: I just ordered a new set of RA-1s and will be running them and the square setup for the first time at the LSR DE in Feb. For those who have run RA-1s, what pressure(s) did you find worked best and under what conditions?
