Ok, its not done yet, but here's the pickup, filter and pump for my transmission cooler setup. As I said earlier, my goal is to have this be "part of" the transi so it does not need to be removed when taking the trans out of the car. I still need to finish mounting the cooler, plumb the cooler, install the re-entry point, wire up the pump, and get some heat shielding in place. Once done I'll post a more complete write-up with better pictures.

Looks nice but, with the filter on the suction side of the pump, I'm wondering what will happen when the pump tries to run with cold trans fluid?

Could one eliminate the filter?
Simple solution...I'm not going to run it when the fluid is cold . I will either manually turn it on after a few laps, or if I am able to get my data system in this year use a temp based trigger to turn on the pump.
You could eliminate the filter, but then any debris would likely damage the pump.
I believe NASA only updates date etc when they change. I glanced at the spec 944 rules and they are from 2010. Hopefully you will get others to join you at a NASA event. In TX we cannot get people to run NASA events for some reason.
In an attempt to save weight I installed a Braille 2015 battery in my SpecBox. I now spend most of my life with an inadequate charge to start my car. It just doesn't seem like enough battery for the job. Before I throw it out and go with a Oddysey PC925 (which i run in my 911 and never had an issue) I thought I would ask:
Does anyone else run a Braille in their SpecBox and does it give them issues?
I run an Odyssey PC680 with no issues, as long as I don't leave the key in the ignition when it's sitting. I know at least one of the NorCal guys with a Braille has to use his battery cutoff switch over night.
