Starting off a new thread since the last one got locked for being too long. Swapped out my heat-soaked unit with a second hand unit from the UK. Swapped out the covers without breaking too many tabs
Returned home from a 1000 mile road trip with my 2 year old silver lab (Luna). On the plus side, the car was surprisingly comfy for 8 hours stretches of driving, except for the roads in Missouri.
On the minus side, while adjusting the seat for the dog I picked up a passenger airbag warning. And then I had to add 2 quarts of oil. Makes me feel better about the upcoming 4.1 rebuild at Slakker once parts come in.
And I stopped for gas in a little podunk town in southern Illinois and two ~12 year old boys ran up to me giddy as hell asking if they could take pictures. Really put a smile on my face.
First wash of the season! Spring wash is meant to bring back the ceramic coating. Basic foam soak followed by acidic foam soak, followed by neutral wash.

Black sure looks good when clean... labor of love!

You must have been in STL because the roads in the Ozarks are smooth!
Put it up on 6" Race Ramps to do an oil change and switched from Mobil 1 to Driven DI40. With the Sport PASM, there's barely any space to fit the oil catch pan without lifting the car. With the Race Ramps, there's so much room for activities down there! Feels much safer than using jack stands too.
Installed the DSC controller. Anxious to see (feel) the result, but it has been a parade of rain showers and I don't want to wash it again before the club Cars & Coffee Saturday!
Also, the idea of the ramps is great. However I got those you drive up and it gave me a heart attack as they slipped as the wheels climbed it--then went over the edge. I don't see any damage except it displaced those plastic aero pieces down in front of the wheels. I got them back in place though. I'll stick to jacking it up and placing them under the wheels in the future.
