mine melted and all the juice ran to the bottom. I just left it like that for a couple years until I got around to getting a new one. I was lucky and it did not leak but I also did not know they leak 😬😬😬

I brought my wheels to Costco and had them swap my old Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ (that were on my car when I bought it 5.5 years ago and that were installed by the previous owner 2 years before that) for Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. So far they feel great, nice and quiet and alignment feels fine.

To be fair, I'm not aware of these specific mirrors leaking in 997s, but this same type of mirror leaks in BMWs. Might come down to the plastic surround.

FYI, I just installed Eibach sport springs on my 997 and am really happy with them.. Low, but not crazy low and they retain the OEM ride quality. Here's a pic.....
