So you didn't have auto-tint previously? Or you did but it was broken?

The car has auto-dimming but the rearview was broken (cracked/foggy) when I bought the car. Apparently these things can leak and damage the dash, so it's best to repair them.

Are our mirrors also of the leaky variety? I know my old BMWs leaked but those were a decade older than the 911. For some reason I thought the 997 was immune to mirror leaks.

mine melted and all the juice ran to the bottom. I just left it like that for a couple years until I got around to getting a new one. I was lucky and it did not leak but I also did not know they leak 😬😬😬

I brought my wheels to Costco and had them swap my old Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ (that were on my car when I bought it 5.5 years ago and that were installed by the previous owner 2 years before that) for Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. So far they feel great, nice and quiet and alignment feels fine.

To be fair, I'm not aware of these specific mirrors leaking in 997s, but this same type of mirror leaks in BMWs. Might come down to the plastic surround.

Gave it a thorough wash for the first time since it is on OZ Leggera:

Next step: consider lowering options ...

How about a profile pic showing off the new wheels? They look like they really fill out the wheel wells.

FYI, I just installed Eibach sport springs on my 997 and am really happy with them.. Low, but not crazy low and they retain the OEM ride quality. Here's a pic.....

Great, thanks for the feedback. I do not have a full profile picture available now, these snaps will provide a fair idea though:
Semi-profile:

How the rears fill out:

Yeah that looks great. Are the wheels 20s?

Installed the Champion wheels I got from Graufuchs. Put a fresh set of PS4S on and let it rock on the wife’s S. Now the car pops. Wheels look great on this color.
