The ONE common factor of all these really high priced 993s lately?
Hard to believe that all the bids from $70K to $120K were fake. I think a premium was paid but I also think prices in general for 993's are going up. I looked for a long while and felt I was chasing the price upwards for the last six months or so. That 993 "what'd you pay" thread says otherwise though so who knows ?
Maybe these guys know the market better than me or maybe they just sponsor the sight and want buyers to expect to pay more

I'm with a few of the clowns here except maybe a bit more st0opid....
I took a one owner, low klm Turbo (one of 130 in the country) and not only welded a cage in but cut some weight off it by hacksawing off some of the guards.....
And i put some 2nd hand bonnet on with a hole in it!

Life is great!!

My approach is unique in that I took a perfectly good 993 and welded a full roll cage into it. Figure I'll get $75,000 or so in thirty years when Excellence does a story on my ancient race car with its winning race history.
Damn Mark you stole my idea hope our approach catches on or we can just be market leaders

My cars are "priceless". As in, there isn't a price on them because I don't want to sell them. I do check out ads on occasion to see what they are valued at, but only because I want to get the right "agreed value" when I insure them through Lockton for track days.
The only way either of these cars will leave my garage is when I die and leave.them to a loving charity.

I'd like to see a survey of how often this actually is the case.
Seems to me that the "will never sell" turns into "can't believe I'm doing this, but...", and that turns into "motivated seller".

Quad ... you forget I am crazy. I would sell my house, the Miata and the truck before I would sell my cars. I just can't bear to part with them. They represent college tuition if I had had kids. Best money I ever spent.
A passion, not an investment. I'm with st0opuid.
In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away, drive a 993.

But even better that I am not suffering depreciation!
