The ONE common factor of all these really high priced 993s lately?

(Except for maybe one or two old-timers here, you guys don't know how the exit of T4--now T6--used to have zero runoff. The old saying was that if you went off exit T4, you'd end up in Salinas.)

What is this thread about? What does EBay have to do with Rennlist? Why did a member with 7308 posts get banned? ( do not tell me it was for shilling a bid on Ebay)How was a member adversely effected?(do not tell me it is because a car has not sold yet) Should we all start to sing Kumbayah?(Oh Lord, come by here.)
I think I am going to be sick.

Back on topic, since we have pissed off the folks trying to sell their cars, like GYMGUY, DALLWA and on another thread, Scott Watkins with his C4S, we'll likely never know what these cars sell for because the sellers have exited "stage left."
FWIW, low mileage cars and rare colors and/or options will still get premium prices. IMHO, how much of premium is the real debate.

Cars that are overpriced tend to not sell and the more outrageous the price, the more likely the collective wisdom of the board tends to be insulted.
Yes, it's possible that low miles/rare colors can demand a premium, but not always, and you are correct about how much. Almost always, it's less than the seller dreams that it is.

Goof, Chris got every penny and more than 120,300. You don't know the facts on that one.
I thought I would get maybe $50k if I was lucky. I posted that. I have no visions of grandeur. I have received offers of over $50k in the past. I have a $47k on the table, a $49k. Not sure who your talking about?
If Scott gets his at $70k, why not embrace it?

I agree with Ken and I believe that 993s are not investment vehicles but are owned by enthusiasts to drive and enjoy.
And I might add that I may be the only one on Rennlist who thinks that RB is not worthy of the premium. I think the color is not particularly attractive. There...I said it.

Surprise? Sure. Insulted? No.
Prices are set by the economics of a free market. If someone selling his goods wants to set a price well-above what others perceive as current market value, then let them proceed. A new market paradigm may be on the horizon, but we won't know until someone tries to set the bar.
Anyway, those are my thoughts.
