The ONE common factor of all these really high priced 993s lately?

My approach is unique in that I took a perfectly good 993 and welded a full roll cage into it. Figure I'll get $75,000 or so in thirty years when Excellence does a story on my ancient race car with its winning race history.

I'm going to play at this table for a long time.

They're not selling at these premium list prices.
There have been several high-priced 993s for sale lately. Some are wondering what is making these prices so high? Is it a rare color? Is it the low miles? What is making some of these cars fetch such high premiums? Truth is, they're not.
Recently, one 993 in a special color was bid to over six-figues on eBay. Turns out, the bids were fraudulent, so that selling price is fake and the car didn't sell for that.

Another Rennlist member placed the fraudulent bids and as a result has been Banned from Rennlist. Justice was served

is this ferrarichat all of a sudden?
All I ever hear from you chaps is how much you love your cars, you'll never sell, be buried in it, blah blah, and in the past few months, its nothing but "how much is xyz worth" like you guys are marking your cars to market on a daily basis. If you ain't gonna sell the thing, who cares what the valuation is.

i think it is pretty weak that the guy that was selling the 98 RB C2S was a fraud. He had so much visibility on his eBay sale and for it to be fraudulent shows ones character.
there is another guy trying to sell a 98 Black C2S and has been doing the same type of thing. he has sold it more than one time on eBay already and has it listed again.
Why can't ppl just be honest is it really that hard...

Can we please get back to Magdaddy's cup holder?!!
I made mine...simple 4 hole "L" bracket, 1/4" hardware, and a standard bicycle bottle cage. It does limit the forward movement of the seat somewhat-I have HB Sports, standard seats might be different.
Very practical location, cheap and simple. Looks nice enough to my eye.

I LOVE this thing! I once attached a water bottle cage to a crutch while I was recovering from an ACL repair. I'm sure using it in the 993 is far more fun! Nice job!
BTW, I have a Rivi Blue car and I couldn't care less what it's worth. Sure do love looking at it, working on it, driving it, and talking about it though. Be happy -- go play with your 993 today.
Cheers

You may be right, but the market has just said otherwise.
eBay, with all it's flaws, does expose a car to a very wide diverse set of buyers, and it appears that although a very select few buyers may pay a premium for a special color, so far they have not shown interest at a price far above market value.

I'm assuming some of those bids around $100K +/- for the RB C2S had to have come from real bidders. RB Cabs are just not as high demand a RB Coupes.
