Thanks to RLer Edgy01 (Dan): not pure coincidence that "Pure Blue" looks like Blue Turquoise!

I sprayed a card with 3AS Blue Turquoise to compare to the Speedster's Blue--what do you think?

Token 1950 356 for age contrast.

The 356 is my favorite of the whole lot. What a "looker". Porsche has a great display of cars there. Very impressive.

^^^ Note that the plastic armature sidecovers have to be removed by hand and stowed before the top can be raised (that's the thingy being removed in the first picture and in the guy's hand in the second)

(Yellow 356 Speedsters are off-scale sweet, too )

'Pure Blue Turquoise' top up pix, thanks to man-on-the-scene Mark W (cosmic_993):

Would anyone know the supplier of the wheels that are on the new Speedster?

I just hate it when Zuffenhausen steals my color!

And just when I thought there are only three of us in the continental US with that blue. One of the PCNA sales guys suggested to me that the majority of the 997 Speedsters are being produced in blue. (A friend of mine has a white one on order).

Dan-- You're an influential man!

Seriously impressed by your foresight & bravado @ the LA Auto Show. I unofficially bestow Blue Turquoise cult leader status upon you

Still planning to install Fuchs Performance Group's wheels?

Steve-- As listed on the above spec sheet photo, they're factory Tequipment: Sport Classic Wheels. Mine are from my Porsche dealer.
Pix of Nurburger (Nick)'s: "just got another set..." thread.

Detailed info & links for all known 'modern Fuchs' options on the "For futuristic FUCHS fans: windmill WHEELS 2010 & beyond" thread.

Two sets of wheels are for sale by sws-stutzmann.com.
Plus, they're including the two Porsche models they're OEM on: the Speedster...

More European delivery Speedsters are showing up for sale on mobile.de, etc.
On US shores, headlines read that the "First Porsche 911 Speedster comes to Boston."

BTW, are new Porsches not delivered with wheel centers in place?
I happen to also have a bag of these exact caps in a bag, but only because I replaced them with silver centers.

he's already gotten 10 serious calls for the Speedster. At that rate, it's unlikely the Speedster will stay long. That's because this, numbered 33, is one of just 100 cars in the US.

^^^ Roll on - Roll off shipping where the cars are just parked in the hold creates problems with anything that can be "easily removed" usually gone missing by the time the car's reach their destinations .. i.e. license plates, hubcaps etc. If it can be unscrewed or pried off with a screwdriver, it should be removed before transport ...
