bigbevo - go see the car. sounds like an 85 S2 screamer (310HP).
Worth getting the VIN and running it to make sure.
Offer $4k.

Agree with Roger on the offer value. Spoke to the seller, who is actually the daughter-in-law of the widower who owns the car from her passed husband. No interior pics and odometer is not accurate.

Sounds like if it hasn't sold yet, they are not taking anything less than $6000.

Very intersted in seeing how this sales.[/QUOTE]

Very transparent seller, and seems like a solid car mechanically, but it has some paint issues. Seems to have been poorly prepped and is suffering from adhesion issues around the edges. Seems like it would need stripped to correct.

1980 Euro sitting almost in my back yard. I'd be willing to check out if anyone is really interested.

https://indianapolis.craigslist.org/cto/6202759446.html

Originally imported from Germany, I am the second owner. You will have to see to believe, this car is truly an original - Survivor! The interior is the same original black leather, and is in amazing condition, including the dash and rear side panels! The original all aluminum 4.7 L block and a heads, and 5 speed manual trasmission! The car was garaged and sat for 17 years before I bought it. It has taken sometime and money, of course, but the car runs and drives. The fuel system has been completely rebuilt with the help of Bob Farmer in Greenfield IN, no small task! Electrically, the car is in incredible condition! The brake system has been flushed and serviced, however there is one rear caliper sticking. My intent was to rebuild all of the calipers, however my priorities have changed. I have many extra parts, the entire Porsche Factory Service Manuals, original US Customs Import document, and much more. I would not say I am an expert on the 928, I am a car guy, the 928 is absolutely underrated and is an incredible machine, and has been an incredible journey. Honestly, I hate to sell, but life has taken over!! Definitely no joy rides, serious inquires only.

A guy in my PCA region with a 911 parts business has picked up a '90 Shark. I can't see it in the ad, but I believe his FB post said the mileage was in the low 70s an he's looking for low $20s.

It has an S4 front clip on it, likely replaced after a wreck. Beware.

Agreed. Interior was the big attraction to this car, but I'm too lazy for the front end conversion back to pre-S4 front end.

When modification's go this far I almost can't knock it. Cleary the guy had a vision. The most curious mod to me had to be that fin glued to the center of the rear license plate. WTF?
