Take it one step at the time. Focus on vision first, turning point, etc...
Loose the 2nd gear , you will gain 2 sec right away.
Corner 17, u need to have constant throttle and play with gas pedal. once you see your clear line, hammer down!
Big left sweeper, flat out, trust the car
Etc etc
Im Not perfectly good on how to explain step by step in english but I have some races at sebing with more laps, it might also help.

Nice build and good looking car. How much does it weight without anyone in it? BBI got my PDK down to 2755 lbs.

just did a little testing on my gtb1 yesterday, damn the car is quick compared to my boxster lol... it was screaming loud!!!

So, having gone through hurricane matthew, around 2 miles from the beach, after clean up, it was time to head down to Sebring with Chin. Met a buddy down there and we had a fun time for the day.
Car ran well - a little hot on the oil and may want to put an oil cooler in next spring. I am running a little heavier oil. Water temp could be 10-15 degrees lower as well.
I still have a lot to learn with this mid-engine platform. Here's a quick video from my last session...

Thanks for posting your build. I am building a PCA Spec Cayman. I am contemplating attempting to pair down the wiring harness in an effort to add simplicity and reduce weight.
Although, ultimately I have to meet a minimum weight with driver of 2950 pounds.
I know I'm going to want to add many things like a Cool Suit system, Air, radios, etc.
Have you any thoughts about this plan? I have the wiring schematic for the 2006 Cayman S. Mine is a 2007.
I would especially appreciate your guess as to how much weight I might be able to get out via partial harness removal. If you think the amount is small maybe it's not worth the trouble?

the weight difference us about 15 pounds. Not worth it in my mind. I've seen them paired down sets that cause problems. The 15 pounds is down low in the car. For me, good instruction and practice will help me be better.

Unless you are an expert, it's not worth it given the consequences of getting it wrong. If you have a reputable shop do. it, you can probably get 5 lbs out. Maybe 10 lbs at some expense. My old car comes in at 2740 lbs dry with only about 3 lbs of wiring removed.

So had the car tuned to use 97 octane. Was making 330 HP at the rear wheels. Did one event and it cost me $600 for fuel alone in a DE. So, instead, I decided to go back to 93 octane tune and it cost me a lot less for the weekend.
I had my tuner get me a little device that I could hook up to my OBD port to switch tunes between my 97 or 93 octane tune. So if I ever was to get crazy, I can always go back to 97.
So went back to Sebring the past weekend. This was my 3rd event with the Cayman. Still have a lot to learn. Ran a 2:29. Last time on 97 octane, ran a 2:27. I've watched Seb's 2:17 and I just don't have the comfort yet to get to point where I can carry as much speed through the turns. For example, he is going flat out through Bishops and ending up at 129 mph. I'm at 112 mph or so. I'm going to work on that. I'm running Pirelli slicks. If I can get to 2:25 on 93 octane, I'll be happy. Just need more seat time.
Here is my spectacular spin at 16 due to carrying a little to much speed and to early on throttle. I need to practice better recovery (but how?).
