I was actually just going to post the same thing. Also - The stock shifter will over time develop some slop so I would also recommend replacing that with the fully adjustable Numeric Competition Shifter. It allows for a more precise shift and is therefore cheap money shift insurance.
I have both Numeric shifter and cables in my car. I love the quality and feel .
Very nice end result! I'd suggest you cut out the rear bumperettes and rear license plate area. Makes a huge difference in cooling! I can highly recommend this battery: Braille GU1R Battery
How do you get 313 hp at the wheels with a stock engine? BTW - the dive planes are not legal in GTB1.

Thanks. The cutout of the rear bumper is in the plan. Looking at battry options as well, considering the braille.
That 313 at wheels is with 93 octane, stock plenum. Stock throtitle body, fab speed competition intake, fabspeed headers, and fabspeed race exhaust. That's it. I can get more with 103 octane and a new tune, but until I actually race it (few years from now), I'll keep it is.
I was not aware the dive planes were not gtb1 spec. Can you indicate which rule specifies that ? (Not disagreeing, just want to educate myself on the rules). If that isn't spec, they will come off before I race.

I have been running the Braille battery all year with no problems.
That 313hp is a very strong number, especially since you seem to still have the stock power steering (not electric). Bodywork has to be stock or from the 997 Cup. In essence, you can use 997 front bumpers and fenders. People show up with the dive plans all the time and the Scruits make them take them off. Come race with us!
Thanks Frank! I appreciate the link. I'll definitely be taking them off before entering any GTB1 races and have removed the GTB1 spec on the car (as it clearly is not).
Going to pickup the Braille battery.
Maybe one day I'll get out there with you guys! For now, I'm going to just do some DE stuff with Chin/PCA here at Sebring, Road Atl, Roebling, Daytona.
Thank you! It's been quite a ride so far. Looking forward to an event in a couple weeks. Have a few more small items to complete before then (install lightweight battery / seat back brace).

You might not need the seat back brace because you have a mid engined car and your seat will be very close (<3") from the fire wall. Some high density foam will do the trick.
