I'm loving the Miami Vice flavor of this one, seems like a good price even if it needs a few grand of maintenance.
If the paint / dash / pod are as nice as they appear in the photos, this is way undervalued.....except that interior combination is very polarizing so that greatly limits the buyer pool.
Those hideous wheels are not helping either.
We focus so much on maintenance in this forum which is part of the 928 buying experience I put very little into. Mechanical always needs to be addressed. If not today, then 3-4 years from now. As long as the crank end play is good, no rod knocks and trans shifts good.......
Paint / body & interior are HUGE investments if those have to be addressed and distract from future value (even when updated) due to losing originality.

I emailed the guy before Christmas & made an offer of $8000. Here is his response:
"I have been offered more twice seems like the going rate is $8500, would do $8900.00 cash. I really like the car and would have to be motivated to sell it, 8000.00 does not to it for me. I really don't plan on selling it till the spring and I will prob ask for more in the spring."
" No cracks in the dash
Shifts great, works fine no issues.
No leaks, that I can tell, no oil or fluid on the floor. There is a small amount of oil the pools by the filler neck of the oil filler area. About 3 drops worth.
No smoke, in the winter takes some time before it stops smoking because of the cold. I start it one a week and let it run for 20 min.
The car has been needing a jump when sitting in the garage during winter, after a week or so, prob will need a new battery sometime in the future
Odometer works.
The breaks squeak, the rotors need to be turned a car vibrates a little bit at 60+ I haven't had a chance to change them yet I was going to do them this winter.
I just changed the oil and anti-freeze before winter.
Power mirrors do not work, as far as I now All other electronic stuff works fine.
The rear hatch buttons have worked in the past, I don't think they work all the time. Sounds like the are turning but does not pop the trunk 100% of the time.
The drives bolster area the welt cord is worn through.
Some stains of dirt on back of rear seat carpet.
Have all tools and jack, spare and air compressor.
Stereo works right rear speaker does not work. I have never tried to put a CD in the CD changer.
Wheels are plastic dipped black, you can peel off paint and return to sliver and chrome color.
All lights work on car and the pop up all the time.
There is a caution light that comes on for no apparent reason. There's a button that you press to make it go away and it is common on all the cars, I think mine does it less than most.
The headliner cover that covers the sunroof one tab is broke, so it doesn't fit 100%.
All glass is original and in excellent condition.
There is one small dent on the front driver side fender that is almost unnoticeable letting you know that it's there.
I think that is about it, the car is not perfect but I think it is a very nice car. You really going to have to come and check it out to make sure that everything works and is in the order that you want it. Offhand this is the best I can do to let you know what's wrong with the car and condition without actually seeing it."
Thank Erich

Did a fellow RL'r pick this one up? I was sooooo close but just couldn't pull the trigger and walked away Dec 22nd. No rub strips and sport seats checked with the vin The side bolster was supposedly not a hole.
That's funny bc I was just checking that car out again yesterday. It was listed for only 9900 canadian, so a little over 6k USD. Worth it! Too bad it was all the way in Canada.

Sitting in the back of a warehouse and currently not advertised for sale.
1987 Cassisrot Metallic (original paint), with factory side molding delete, and Cup One's.
Lots of issues though, including: https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...onversion.html
Nice black '79 euro manual in Houston. Where have I seen that radio "remote control" here before? ~90,000 miles, may even be working odometer.
Anyway, can someone check this out?

Hoi - I wouldn't doubt if that's an original pascha or pinstripe car as well due to the look of the insert replacement. The radio looks to be one of those really cool early blau's with the 'stalk'...not factory but cool nonetheless...

What value do you put on one like that? Looking at something similar.
