Default Heated seat relay location?

I'm in the process of troubleshooting why my driver side heated seat does not function. I've determined it isn't the switch, so moving on to the relay. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find it.

After doing some research, it seems that it is somewhere under the seat itself? Could anyone help me pinpoint it? Also, is it possible to remove it without removing the seat from the car?

My car has the memory option btw.

Cheers and thank you!
Charlie

I think Relay 18 in the Relay Panel is what you should check. The Plug is under the seat but not the relay.

I think relay #18 "Actuation Heating" is for the a/c. In fact, in post #2 bottom it says seat heater 99661852100 and if you google, you will see it's a relay attached to the seat control buttons under the seat. I expect you have to remove the seat and turn it over to get to that relay.

I stand corrected! Thanks Ahsai...I was taking a shot in the dark just trying to help. I don't have heated seats so never really looked into this.

Thanks everyone. Sounds like I'm going to have to remove the seat to get to it.

Maybe you can adjust the seat up to its highest position and take a peek under it first. That relay may be accessible/visible.

Just bought a pair of heated seats off a Rennlister, the relay is tucked up pretty far, I would think the only way to check is to remove seat bolts and prop up the front of the seat with a block of some kind.

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. Can you describe where its at on the driver's side? For example is it on the outside, inside, towards the front, towards the back?

Cheers

If memory serves, there are only 4 torx bolts holding the seat to the floor.

Ahsai, you are correct in the location of the seat heat relay and the seat attaching bolts.
Seat Heat Relay
Seat Attachment Bolts (4)
