Once again, do not believe those miles. No way is that a 35K miles car. Like the red pascha above, though, the ask price isn't unreasonable for a good driver quality earlier 928. It has the 3 speed tranny though - not desirable.
Triptometer is zero'ed, so obvious broken odometer. Dash is cracked and seats were reupholstered in wrong material. Definitely '79 euro with WUR in place, but nice 16" phone dials.
However, he is asking for $5800, not bad for $4500 if one can get it at that price.

Called and left a message. I saw the ODO too. We'll see if the call is returned.
So intersteing metric. After some quick research, besides the 911 which seem to make up one out of every 5 auctions on BaT, the 928 has been the most auctioned car over there since BC's 86.5 sold in April! The Miata and M3 are a close third.
Wow!! imagine what it would fetch if it had the jump post cover...
If you read the comments, another similar car went for $1.5m, and this one was purchased relatively recently, so seems to be up for a 'quick sale', and on BaT, as opposed to a more upscale venue like Pebble Beach or Meccum.
I think you nailed it!
