BTW, what is a 'boon head'? Never heard that one. Probably something funny, but I have honestly never heard it before. Okay, I'll leave this alone now. This drama has gone on far too long. Sorry for interrupting the discussion (somewhat accidentally).
not long enough.
What penalty did you asses "DANIAN IN NJ" for first calling me a a-hole?

Searched for a long time for a replacement set of seats for the original 8 way power+heated seats. While they're not a bad seat I wanted something lighter that still would tilt since we have kids that need to sit in the back on occasion. I ended up going with 997 GT2 seats that I found locally for a decent deal. They were hardly used and they are very comfortable. I've talked to several people who have these seats and its a love/hate relationship. They either fit you or they don't. Luckily, they fit me like a glove and are very comfortable. I've routinely spent the whole day in them without any issue. They're hard to find, almost as hard as 993 sport seats but well worth it.
Love these seats and thank you for confirming they fit in the 993. Couple of questions:
- why didn't you pass the seat belt buckles on the inboard side of the seat (through the hole)? It seems the factory cars with these seats had the buckle positioned that way.
- how much headroom is there in the 993 with these seats? I can't find info on how high the seat backs of these seats are.
Curious, do any of you use covers to protect your seats?
I installed neoprene Wet Okole's in my Rubicon about a week after I bought it and the seats are still in perfect shape. I tried searching the forum on the subject a while back and couldn't find anything.

In 2004 I purchased a 1 owner RSA from Hawaii. From day one original owner covered his black corded sport seats with these covers. 115,000 miles and 11 years later (and day one of my ownership) I removed the covers. Seats were as new.
