^^Would be nice to have a shop like this spend time on one's car. Skilled shop time is an expensive (and rare) commodity.

Default Prevented Car-B-Q

I noticed some exterior damage to my front fuel line on my 1988 S4 so I decided to replace it. Sure glad I did because it was in pretty rough shape.

This was the old fuel line. I couldn't really determine if it was original or not. Definitively factory part.

This dent was from rubbing on the oil filler neck. Notice the split. This was the reason I replaced the line.

This was a bit of a surprise, the outer casing was nicked and fairly brittle. The inner casing still looked good and seemed relatively flexible compared to the replacement.

This side looked pretty clean.

Dirty threads. Does that look like some sort of thread sealer? I cleaned it off and used anti seize on all the threads.

Got everything buttoned up, tested, re-tested. and tested again. Then went for a drive.

Finally installed the Rear Camber Pocket Inserts from 928 Motorsports in preparation for an alignment and then fresh rubber all 'round. I used my die grinder with a rotary file to remove most of the aluminum required to fit the steel inserts. The lower corners got finished off with a carbide burr in my Dremel tool. I also took the time to remove the belly pans in preparation for the alignment and install a new engine-to-body ground strap. Tomorrow is for installing my freshly reconditioned instrument pod from Rob Budd. I'll post up some pics after it's in.

My 95 GTS was getting a bit dusty in the garage so i pulled it out for a cleanup. I also finished the install of the Porsche Classic Radio. Now find that right QTR speaker needs some work so off to pull it.

A break in our winter weather combined with me having the time, allowed her to be driven from her "hibernation facility" and finally (after 6 long months since purchase) arrive home to my garage, where the fun shall begin!!!! looking forward to the "tinkering", daughter and grandson checking her out!!

A donor CE panel with a few relays included arrived today.... Pulled the fuses in block 26-30 and all the holders are pristine...and will go into my existing panel to replace the charred and degraded 28 and 29. Can't wait to finish this job and end the cooling fan problems for good.

I adjusted the doors inside of the HVAC box and got two of the actuators (center vent full open and recirc valve) to start working again.

Now my 81 runs right in the middle of the temp gauge with the AC on instead of on the second white line and with cooler vent temps to boot.
