This is my 78's chipboard spare-cover. Now, I just need the darn thing that goes below...lol.
What did you do to your 928 today...
Waiting on this little do-dad for my 84, door exit light, and I will reassemble passenger side door panel. Reglued carpet and vinyl and installed homemade steel door handle reenforcements and adjusted window guides...so I'm ready when it gets here.
Brian.
Man, Brian that '78 is clean! Hope to see it person someday....
I take all my chipboard covers out and replace with Jerry Feather moulded plastic units - the chipboard is SO fragile. They go on a shelf protected from just about everything (watch a chipmunk will chew them all up when I'm not looking)...
I did my door lights a while back. Very small maintenance, but very gratifying to see them on when the doors open.
Yes, recently repaired my sunroof...which I didn't figure l'd ever use..and the car feels totally different now that I know it works...kind of weird...but it's just nice to know it works correctly.
Anyhow, FedX showed up just minutes before I got home from work yesterday...and didn't leave the package/light. Don't understand why, they've dropped tons of stuff off before...but fail to leave a little package.
Pisser was...I'd stopped by the horse barn...where my wife boards her horse...and spent ten or fifteen minutes closing gates and checking things out...since she had been there earlier loading horses for a show. Closed a couple key gates that should never have been left open...and end up missing the FedX guy.
Like they say..."no good deed goes unpunished"...lol.
Thank you, Alex...for the kind words about old red. Granted, the first thing l thought was..."boy, I should clean this area up before I snap this picture".
Veiwing fees have gone through the roof, seeing the up-tic in popularity in the 928. Now pushing the ceiling at $1.50.
Watched the odometer flick to just over 36k as I got her in the garage after a long drive.Teared up a bit at the mileage. Then remembered how much fun the drive was!
Got invited to join in on a local Porsche dealer's customer appreciation drive today. We were the only 928 out of 50-60 Pcars, but by the end of the drive the car seemed to have made a great impression of 928's and their capabilities with all of the other drivers. Pretty cool seeing her get all of the attention.
Took the GTS to Caffeine & Exotics show in Atlanta, got a lot of compliments and questions. There was another silver GTS and a black GT so 928s were well represented!.
