I am not buying CCW wheels any time soon. I think I will stick with the Bogart RR-10 wheels.....

Remember to check your wheels kids. The life you save may be your own!

Wheels need to be inspected after every event. Most people don't do it though ...

I've always been an "inspect before" putting them on the car type person. I think I am now a before and after person.

Last year I saw a tire failure after the apex of the downhill at Lime Rock. Guy went into the tire wall hard. Not much you can do at that point.

That works too. The primary goal is of course to not put a cracked wheel on the car. I like to check before I put them away after each event so I have some time to fix if needed before I need them.

After breaking three wheels over the past 15 years - I am a before and after kind of guy. Of course Sebring is tough on wheels and tires and suspension.

My wife thinks I am a little crazy - but it's part of my ritual now - Wheels, tires and brakes - most important to keep at their prime condition

Dang good thread, I need to wash and check my C10's. If you don't see any visible cracks/hairline cracks is there anything else to look for?

So this begs the question - in addition to the above what are people using on Caymans and Boxsters instead of the CCWs?

I'm going to have to start rotating out my four sets of CCW as they are getting old.

My blue set, which had two cracked spokes, was last used at Sebring this past February. Not surprised when I think about it.

Foregeline makes very strong track wheels, including for pro race teams. I have 3 sets for my track cars.

This is a friend's GT4 with Forgelines ready for the track.

Forgeline GA3Rs. I like the fact they they actually have a track warranty, that they openly advertise.

My Kinesis K27's and Jongbloed's seem to be bulletproof! Got a clean set of CCW's gonna run later this season....buddy just cracked all but 2 spokes on his CCW's(right, rear, 996)

I am very hard on wheels. Don't cheap out on them if you track. Always go forged. I prefer Forgelines. Never ever seen one crack (I'm sure they do over a long time). I have bent a few in the past...

Does anyone have an opinion of what most people would consider the number of days on track for a set of wheels to be timed out?

I presume the one piece forgelines are an improvement on the old three piece style that I cracked a few of. No warranty was offered with those.
