CCW Failure

Three Wheelin'
Wheels need to be inspected after every event. Most people don't do it though ...

Last year I saw a tire failure after the apex of the downhill at Lime Rock. Guy went into the tire wall hard. Not much you can do at that point.

That works too. The primary goal is of course to not put a cracked wheel on the car. I like to check before I put them away after each event so I have some time to fix if needed before I need them.

Drifting
After breaking three wheels over the past 15 years - I am a before and after kind of guy. Of course Sebring is tough on wheels and tires and suspension.
My wife thinks I am a little crazy - but it's part of my ritual now - Wheels, tires and brakes - most important to keep at their prime condition

I'm going to have to start rotating out my four sets of CCW as they are getting old.
My blue set, which had two cracked spokes, was last used at Sebring this past February. Not surprised when I think about it.

So this begs the question - in addition to the above what are people using on Caymans and Boxsters instead of the CCWs?

I am very hard on wheels. Don't cheap out on them if you track. Always go forged. I prefer Forgelines. Never ever seen one crack (I'm sure they do over a long time). I have bent a few in the past...

Does anyone have an opinion of what most people would consider the number of days on track for a set of wheels to be timed out?
