Today, I cleaned the battery box and lid, replaced the lid seal and installed a new battery. Also gave more thought to paint. Seriously considering Sterling Grey Metallic with platinum and pink ghost pearl.
Got my car up on the Race Ramps a few days ago so I could do a bunch of things. Mostly fluids. Knocked out the oil/filter change that same day. Then had other (non car) stuff to do.
Finally got back to it today. Decided to do the A/T fluid/filter change next.
What a pain. Thought it would go quickly, but I was faced with so much filth I just had to slow down and spend more time cleaning than anything else.
This is what I mean by filth:
A couple of hours or so later, things were looking better:
So that reservoir really does have helpful markings on it!
I think I went through a roll and a half of paper towels and four pairs of gloves today. And everything smells like ATF. Including me.

Back from paint shop and re-assembled. Very pleased with outcome from Carolina Muscle Car. Owner Lou Secari is a perfectionist taking care of the most minute details in the finish.
Only casualty on re-assembly was Anti-Siphon valve for headlight washer. Had to cap off the washer line until another day.
Pulled the pod to find out what was wrong with the dash lights. Cleaning all connections on the gauge cluster did the trick. Also bypassed the dimmer and connected the leads directly to each other, since the dash lights never need dimming.
Replaced the crank position sensor on my '90 - hopefully that cures the intermittent no-start I have been experiencing. The old sensor came out relatively easily fortunately.
While I was 'in there' I replaced the fuel hose to fuel cooler with a new OE one. The job was likely made easier because I already had the GB U-hose installed which gave more working room.
Researched removal of seized crank bolt.
Sanded subwoofer enclosure for a better fit.
Looked at Paul Champagne's luggage cover for some good solutions.
I'd better work fast because I made a no-shave vow until I get the car on the road.

New wheels (and tires) for the GT, found some 18" RUF Speedlines that fit perfectly. Fronts are 8.5 x 18 ET61, rears are 9.5 x 18 ET 48.
We had them refinished in silver (they were black with red rims) and picked them up today.
Took my DS Parking Brake apart this week and found the adjuster screw totally rusted.
Didn't want to spend the $35 for a new one, but didn't want to put one on that was going to immediately rust either, so decided to look into Zinc Plating.
Pulled together the ingredients (total expenditure - ~$15) and gave it a try.
If you've got any small bits that aren't easily or cheaply replaceable and want them plated, shoot me a line. I'll do it for free, although I won't guarantee anything that'll be concours quality.
Hadn't seen my car in almost a year. I left it under wraps until now. Started up on first throw. Went for a little cruise before the rains came. Not even a cough. What a grand auto it is.
I have been fighting a small trans leak for what seems forever. I had already done the torque converter seal and oil pump seals, and pan gasket and reservoir seals and drain tube. Still a leak at the darn pan for the longest time. Finally pulled pan again today and noticed a few corner sealing tabs bent from over torqueing. I very carefully massaged them flat again and checked them on a flat surface. After a long drive it seems I now have a completely leak free system. First time in a very long time I'm sure. All the trans lines have been done too.

Try a little CLR and you'll wonder where the yellow went.
