Started to reinstall the carpet and the vinyl cover strips (newly cut from virgin material) in the rear section. The carpet has been washed thoroughly sans detergent, but with some Borax, and smells like nothing (which is a big victory).
It's actually starting to look like a car versus a sea of sound-deadening material. A good sign of progress.

I'm taking my controversial 928 down to the Saratoga Springs Auto Museum tonight, where Porsche is unveiling its controversial 991-2.
Some snowflakes in the air, but I need a break from the idiot who put his Bugeye clutch release arm in backwards.

Cranked up #30 and let her run for about an hour...still on lift bars, work has stalled out on her while I work on the white 82. Also cleaned the VIN tag, since she has no windshield, and sprayed a clear coat of lacquer on it, just because.
Took the passenger door panel off the white 82 and began regluing all the vinyl that had come loose. Re-lubed the window mechanism and reglued the plastic vapor barrier onto the door panel. Installed new straps on the air cleaner, and started to gather the material needed to refurb the phone dials. Will remove drivers panel for a little refurb next week. And remove the back panels, and install all new speakers. Prepping her for my double din kit that Al is putting together.

Are you driving the white one to SITM
Going to try to finish both door panels today, if the warden will stay off my case!

Last weekend: (90% of the introduced wires and aftermarket alarm shown below have been removed)
Yesterday:
Today - after a most rewarding test drive with new center and floor HVAC flap actuators...no more tap tap tap of the center vent...words can't describe how much nicer the car seems with no tapping and all vents working!
