Default Brake rotor resurfacing

Parts source no longer does it, or so they told me today.

Any friendly shops that can resurface my rotors?

Which Parts Source? Hopefully it's not the one at Brant and Fairview, they were surfacing rotors at great price, less than other Parts Source stores..........

Dang! This shop was great too, it would resurface cross drilled rotors where the store in Oakville wouldn't.......

Have to go by sometime to try to convince them they need to fix the machine or get a new one.

Years ago I tried resurfacing a set of 928 rotors and because of the huge centre hub hole, pretty much no one had big enough adapter to make it work. The only place that was able to do it was a big rig repair shop.

I may be forced into new rotors if I can't find a shop.

Never thought about the hub size.

The Good Year shop on Upper James (just past Mohawk Rd.) in Hamilton did mine, (a few years back).

Manager is a Bimmer fan who does lapping days in his M3.

I would normally not, but when you have spent your budget for the year and the alternative is new rotors at almost $800 for the set you do what you have to do.

Also the rotors are in good shape, I'm just putting new pads on since the car had only been driven 2k in the last 10 years.

The Canadian tire on Dundas near the 403 is re-surfacing them this afternoon. $180 clams.

There is a lot of meat on OE rotors and in my case they just took the lip off the edge.

Resurfacing is good for the environment too.

Hmmm. Maybe I should re-surface (I assume you mean turned) my 996TT rotors?
