Jaak, I just saw this today, so I'm passing on my well wishes post operation. Thankfully, your dentist caught this early from the sounds of it, so that bodes well.

I would suspect that there will be a lengthy recovery, especially in light of the reconstruction process. The positive on this is that at the end of it, you have to look better than you do now.

Let me know when you're up to it and we'll get out to catch up. Its been a while.

Malignant tumor on my tongue at age 35--will be 58 in June and all is/has been well.

I beat it, and so can you...you're in my thoughts and prayers.

Just saw this now, don't know how I missed it - wow. Best of luck, hope the surgery goes well today.

As any good-news stories can be inspirational, my mom had a small bit of colon cancer about 10 years ago. They found it early and removed it, and there's been no recurrence ever since. The only fallout from it is more regular colonoscopies
