Well Rafi at Pfaff Service is telling me this is normal. That 1L/1000km is normal. And my buddy who is a salesman there says the same thing. What am I supposed to do? And apparently the manual for the 2008 cayman s says this is normal as well.

defeinitely get over the the Cayman Forum and ask. That just doesnt sound right.. if it is in spec it is right at the bottom end. That is 1 quart every 600 miles. These things certainly dont get better over time.
im sure your cats are working overtime
I suggest a leakdown test be performed which may shed some light on the condition of the engine, "cylinder scoring", which may explain the oil consumption you are having. Mantis does this test. This may catch a problem before it becomes a bigger problem.

Thanks. Where/what/who is Mantis?
The folks at Pfaff are saying nothing is wrong with the car. Given that the car is CPO and they can charge Porsche for fixing it, why would they lie?

I wouldn't worry about it. You have warranty. Get rid of the car before it goes naked.
Just picked up the car. Everything feels/sounds fine now. I still don't see why the dealer would ignore it if there was a real problem? I mean, it's a CPO car so Porsche would pay them for it. What do they have to loose by properly fixing it?
