For racers that were unable to make it to today's qualifying session, but would like to race in the series ... do the following:

(1) Run the three tracks we did today (Road America / Laguna / Sebring)

(2) Use the John Copper MINI - NO Tuning - NO Autobrake

(3) Run a 10 Lap Race with some AI's - set them for medium - and you can set it, so they are all the same car (John Copper MINI)

(4) after the race, take a digital picture of your TV screen showing your times (Fastest Lap / Overall Time) ... then post the picture to this thread
... make sure it is in FOCUS ....

On Saturday, I'll collect all the data, and try to determine who will be GT1 and who will be GT2.

Another closer sneak peak at the RSR. We bought it after it won the 2009 Nürburgring 24 hour.

Good work, I didn't do well at Sebring as well. The wheel and an un-tuned mini with no TCS just don't mix well on that track. I found I had to crank the wheel over to the max on almost every corner and it just lost traction in every corner and down shift. I watched the pad guys and it was an art of constant tire screeching and power over steering sometimes the pad just makes it easier to do consistently.

I know I had a least a second I could take off the first intermediate time, but I really wasn't able to put in a good clean COMPLETE lap...

Speaking of "clean lap". When you do a "dirty" lap and that little triangular icon pops up, are those "dirty" laps excluded from the best lap table at the end of the race?

I ran with no TCS, ABS, etc... and that mini was a handful. Lots of dirty laps for me too.

You can either mod a race car ... or a street car ... Greg has tried a variety of cars, and states that you have a better chance with a modded street car (C6 Z06 / C6 ZR1 - 997 GT2 / GT3RS)

I've played a bit with the Whelen C5 Race Car ... and then a C6 Z06 ... you have a lot more freedom to mod the street cars ... you can go crazy on the HP, and have poor handling and braking ... or have a sane level of HP, and have race level brakes and suspension ... or anything in between!

See everyone online tomorrow morning, and as per our Official Forza 3 ALMS Schedule, we'll be visiting the beautiful state of Florida! I can hardly wait to grab a nice Big glass of fresh squeezed Orange Juice!

I spent the evening on the phone negotiating new sponsorship agreements. This is what I ended up with:
