Hey guys ... it took me some time to go through the various tracks and find replacements for the tracks that are not available on Forza, like Mosport ... I wanted to find tracks that might have similar feels to them.

I was thinking for this weekend ... doing the Mini Cooper Qualifying races like we did at the begining of the season ... this way all the new guys can be ranked ... and the rest of us can see if we have improved or not.

For the race season, I was thinking of racing cars at the ALMS GT2 level ... MAX. R3 749

#45 Flying Lizard 911 GT3 - RSR (R3 742)
#92 Rahal Letterman Racing M3 GT2 (R3 743)
#62 Risi Competizione F430GT (R3 749)
#11 Primetime Racing Group Viper Competiton Coupe (R3 714)

I think for the Corvette's ... there are some R3 level Corvette's down at the 711 to 713 level ... then can be moded up to the 749 level ... or a Z06 / ZR1 could be modded to an R3 749 level ... and the car painted to a ALMS look.

Porsche guys, if they don't want to run the Flying Lizard car ... could modify either the 911 GT2 (997) or 911 GT3 RS (997) up to an R3 749 level .... and again, pain the car for an ALMS look.

For the New Guys ... go and buy a 'John Cooper' MINI ... paint and decal the car ... no tuning allowed! These will be spec. rating races!



Then start practicing!

On Sunday, we'll be running ranking races:

Road America - 10 Laps
Laguna Seca - 10 Laps
Sebring - 10 Laps

Practice: 9:30A
Races Start: 10:00A

Make sure that if you are connected through a router ... that it is set up correctly ... make sure you can join private games on Forza 3.

We'll be looking at everyone's fastest lap times / overall time ... and calculating the variance of the average lap (overall time / 10 laps) vs. fastest lap time.

Top drivers will be slotted into GT1 and everyone else will be in GT2. :lol:

you have to make them within Forza III in the paint shop by layering geometric shapes...yup, it's time consuming.

I suggest when you get a chance - to setup a multi-player private race against AI and run the 10 lap races on Road America, Laguna Seca and Sebring. Then post up the results (fastest lap & overall race time) so Mark can collect the data.
