New to me 993!
Finally, after 4 weeks of waiting, my first 993 arrived at my house! Here are the pics and details as promised...The car is a 1996 C2, one owner, 11,051 miles, completely original Arena Red on Black Leather Coupe. Options listed on the window sticker include Arena Red paint, Black leather interior ($3,992 - what does this include???), Porsche floor mats, Torque limited slip with ABD, Light rootwood shift lever, park brake lever, steering wheel, Porsche crest seats, cup design wheels, full power seat left, rim caps with crests, HI-Fi 10 speaker sound system, 6 disc remote CD changer, supple leather front and rear, MSRP $76,118. The car is gorgeous inside and out and runs perfectly. It does need new tires, which it will get this week including a full service. I think I am going to keep the cup wheels on it for now as they actually look nicer than I expected and don't have a single mark on them.
As for the purchase details that many have asked for...you're gonna wish you spent more time on ebay The car popped up one night after dinner with some crummy pics and a short description. I had a hunch it was a sweetie and emailed asking for the seller's number, long story short, they wanted a hassle free sale so I told them I would take it sight unseen and wire the money the next morning for a fair price. They said I could have it for $28,000 and would add a buy it now price to the ad if I was interested....sold!!!!
This is my first 993 - in fact, I have never even sat in one until tonight in my garage. I absolutely love the car! Here are the requisite pics

Congratulations! It sounds like an excellent deal. You were asking about leather: you have the full leather package (leather dashboard, leather center consol,...). Time to come and introduce your new ride at our next Saturday morning GTG (hurry before the snow is here!).

How exciting was it for you to see that TFX truck pull up? Like all your Christmases and Birthdays show up at once. Great colour, great car and you bloody well stole it at that price.
As I creep through your pictures, it looks like you live in my old neighbourhood in O-Town. I used to be on Hertfordshire in Joshua Creek.
Be careful of the hoodie hiding behind the light post in picture number 4. He looks a bit suspicious!
Happy motoring - you'll be asking yourself "why didn't I do this before??"
Cheers,
Cliff

Thanks guys!
Yep, we're in Joshua Creek Cliff. The hoodlum in the hoodie was the window guy working across the street. The TFX truck caused quite a commotion with the tradesmen No worries about the thugs really...my neighbours think we are running a grow op in the basement because of the security system that we have

Thanks guys! The truck arrived at about 2 pm on Friday afternoon, so it's probably the same one. All of the other cars on the truck belonged to snow birds and were on their way to Florida. My wife video taped the entire event for me as I had to work.
Went down and got the 10 day permit this morning. They almost wouldn't give me one because it had been more than 6 days since I "bought" the car. It took all of my boyish charm to change her mind
Took the car out for a quick spin at noon - put 7 more miles on her LOL! Runs and drives great. Handles very well. Not the fastest car I've owned, but the build quality and looks are super. Went over the car pretty well this afternoon...not a drip on the garage floor, paint is super but needs a clay bar treatment and good polish to remove fine scratched and scuffs, some stone chips on the hood as the owner had warned me, the interior is just about perfect and my favourite part of the car. This was my first time in an air cooled Porsche and the smell reminds me of an old Lada I had one winter...same oily smell when warm! Ordered new 17 inch PS2's for the cups today. 18's are out of stock until February and I need rear tires for the safety.
